DC is one of those groups I can't help but like. Even though I want to despise their emo-longings and tender heartedness, I can't bring myself to do it. But the whole emo vs. punk thing is incredibly dumb. Considering the root of emo-which in summary "emo" was a title given to "whimpy" sort of punk and considered an insult. Therefore, the two are close intertwined. How about bands like Alkaline Trio? Or Yellowcard? Both deliever a combination of punk/emo sound. I'm off topic. |
