A quick correction for emo12PUNK12metal : John Mayer is not a "solo" artist. He, in fact, has a "band behind him." In his 1999 release "Inside Wants Out";yes, his work mainly consisted of solo acoustics. However, he was joined by bassist; David LaBruyere, and drummer; Nir Zidkiyahu in the studio for his latest album "Room for Squares." *Great song by the way* |

If you've ever seen The Doors movie thye give a pretty close reality of what the song about. I was a little high when i was watching it...so bear with me. I remember it was when he was in the desert with his bands and his girlfriend (at the time), they were all taking peyote. Then Jim said "Kiss the serpent...kiss it with fear, and it will eat you whole, Kiss with strength, and it will let you through...through to the other side...break on through to the other side"....what that means I dont know this is just how he came up with the lyrics. |
