"don't know how to say this..." he has an awesome voice and this song definetly shows this. the lyrics, however do relate to how (i think) everyone feels at one point or another. awkward silence is something you can't avoid no matter how hard you try. :) |

ok i'm not a huge fan of country but i really like this chick's voice...and its a cute song overall. "i know a way to make you smile..." has to be my favorite line. sometimes there are people you know that all you have to do is think of them...and then you smile. thats when you know you truly care about them. :) |

this song, like any other that exists, is subject to each individuals interpretation. no one knows why billy corrigan really wrote this song...the only sure thing of any song is the beauty it possesses. "disarm you with a smile...and leave you like they left me here. to wither in denial, bitterness of one who's left alone." i think that is the most beautiful line of any SP song. |

the first time i heard this song...i was so enveloped by it that i didn't notice 9 minutes had gone by!!! now THAT is a sign of a good song. i don't think anyone can really know what the writer meant by "konstantine." but i know that everyone can have their own konstantine whether its a person your with (or want to me with :) )or a feeling or a goal you have. this song is beautiful. |

this song is so beautiful. i saw gavin preform this song with a cellist and a violinist. it seriously brought tears to my eyes. i was confused as to what this song meant, which is why i came here. :) but everyone has really good interpretations as to what "glycerine" means. basically i think this song is about heartbreak. someone trying to change to fit the other person but, in the end, you realize that you shouldn't have to change for anyone. they should love you for who you are. this song is about probably two people who loved each other very much but were just not meant to be lovers. |

this song reminds me what happened to me. i was working with this guy and was very attracted to him. lets call him B. now B had a girlfriend at the time (a heinnus witch who ended up cheating him but thats a story for another song ;) ) anyway B's friend, lets call him J, starts working there too. now J was pretty attractive too and B ended up hooking us up. me and J dated for about a year. then B ends up breaking up with his girlfriend and admits to me he had been attracted to me all along. now we were faced with a problem. i was dating his friend, J. but i still had overwhelming feelings for B. me and J end up breaking up. and hopefully B and me can make a go of it. |

i take a different approach to it. when i first heard this song, my ex-boyfriend immidiatley popped into my head. he is a druggie who really has no idea what he wants. i stayed with him to try to help him out of his depression. i really thought i could "take him away from [there]" but it wasn't that easy. no matter how much i loved him, he had to try to better his life for himself. this song made me realize that all i could do was be there for him when he wanted help. he needed to decide for himself. at the present time he's still enveloped in his drugs and our break up was pretty terrible. we don't even talk anymore and what hurt me the most was that all i wanted was to be there for him. but hopefully one day he'll realize what he's doing to himself and maybe even the grief he made me go through. |
