I get the vibe that this song is about some inanimate object that has to do with cars. Probably meant to be funny if I could figure out what it was about. Theres a lot of references to cars:
"we drove by"
"His daddy died in a car wreck"
"rolling with a different crew"
"we drifted too"
"underneath a moving truck"
Could very possibly be about a car. With the "little wing" being a small spoiler. And the "racist kids" took a joyride and hit a truck with it. Having "one shut eye" could be one broken headlight.

Uhh..Long Beach isn't all ghetto. I live in it. There are some parts that are very ghetto, yes. Then there are some 10 million dollar houses. Mostly middle class. Pretty much what you expect from a city with over half a million people in it. And yes, the first part of the song is a Toots and Maytals cover. |

No ones forcing you to listen to it. Sometimes it can be annoying when u like a song, but its ruined by those "teeny-boppers." Its not that music is better or worse than other music, its just different. Some people may not like it, some people do. Whatever floats ur boat. |

Although this is on the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game, and little 5 year olds could sing along with you, this is still my favorite song of all time. The lyrics are soooo great, and the upbeat ska sound is so very very catchy. |

Calm down "newfoundfinch". We get it. You dont like it. Why waste your time writing about how much u hate a song. Geez, get a life. I think this song is okay. I think "Tragic Kingdom" was and always will be their best album. The lyrics really had meaning, because Gwen had just broken up with Tony, and the lyrics were real. Theyre style hasnt really gotten worse, but different. Some people like it more, and some less. I like it less, simply because I grew up listening to Tragic Kingdom and I like it. |
