For me Crawling only brings back bad memories of my Sophmore year in high school running on the track team. We were at this meet in Richland. And I ran horrible and the girl I liked told me off. It reminds me of staying in the hotel and going to the meet. I ran in the mile relay team I let them down and that was the worst part. I sat up in the bleachers for part of the day waiting for my race but the whole time I listened and thought about this song in paticular. But that day changed me that meet changed me that girl changed me that race changed me. It is all by the surface the pain controls you so much. |

Well for me I relate to this song form my freshmen year in high school. I ran cross-country and the team all of them even the people that I didn't like there playing football on the beach in Ocean Shores on the coast of Washington. But while we were there I opened up these people and we just had fun forgetting our hatred or spite we had for each other and we came together. The joy I felt there is never going to happen again but ever time I think about beng there it gives me a sense of relief. Thats my quiet place. I met my gf there for another school near mine and we were on the beach till almost 2 in the mourning just looking at the stars. But when I saw the music video for this song I seriously took a seat and almost cried. It reminded me so much of our time we had. In the Video when he is walking and running throught the water and the beach. That is what reminds me the most. |

I remember when I was a sophmore in high school and this girl I liked was on the cross-country team with me. And we would spend a lot of time 2gether and run together. Anyways my sophmore year we did cross-country together and I was running in this meet ain Port Angeles. The part of the song that struck me most and got me depressed the most was when I won. It felt so hallow because the night before I told her how much I loved her. And she called me a werido in front of all her friends. But Anyways I ran my best race finishing second place with a time of 15:19 for a 5k race. But when I looked down from the podium and saw her all I could think about was how much I didn't belong to be there. Even then I didn't care how much it hurt because I wanted control and for her to do something she didn't want. When I was running in the race though all I could see was her And all I could her was "She's running out, She's running out." It only gave the will to run faster. I wanted to show her I wasn't a creep or a werido. But I still don't belong there not with her. |

I am so sad right now. Just thinking of this song makes me tear up. The part "I am invincable" man i can totally relate. That's we all feel. And I can't wait for our 20 year reunion. I was always friends w/ the prom king or prom queen but doesn't that beat all I was never on mtself. The most memorable thing I will even remember from my high school is our triple over time victory at our homecoming game for football freshman year. (I run cross-country and we won our meet.) The second is my senior year. When I was running through the halls of my high school, we or at least all of the seniors were having so much fun. We were all lokking at each other and reflecting all the dates we went on together, all the time we spent together, baseball, soccer, football,basketball,softball games we went 2gether. One of my friends Drew was crying and I started to cry too because man I can. Guys have feelings too. And the look and energy there when we made to senior cove as we call it. Everybody was apoligizing, yelling, screeming, it was too much. Then right before it was over two of my friends and me Started teh last "SENIOR POWER". Thats what I will remember most senior power man, the drama, my friends. In 20 years I'd better know what it was all for because I made the rash decision to join the ARMY. And I hope it was right. Because there is a 3 year relationship on the lines here. Good luck to class of 2003 I luv you with all my heart. I feel the same way.
