Third Eye Blind – Say It Lyrics 8 years ago
If this really is the last song on the last album, it's a fitting swan song. It's not Jenkins' best work, but it's maybe one of his most fitting for the time and place.

Starts out all right, but when you get into K Flay's spoken word portion, it all connects perfectly and is a great tip of the cap to everyone who has followed the band from the start and not missed an album. Basically just Jenkins addressing 20'ish years of thoughts/doubts in about 2 and a half minutes.

His struggles with writers block pre-Ursa Major, his relationship with Theron aka "that actress" (which inspired much of "Out of the Vein"), nods to the debut album (sleeping on a cot, eating tater tots), his uneasy relationship with critics who always unfairly accused him of peaking with the bands debut album and holding him up to impossible standards.

Just a solid song from top to bottom. Again, not the greatest, but definitely appropriate and if it's the last song we get... it's fitting.

Better Than Ezra – Desperately Wanting Lyrics 10 years ago
People keep using the lines "oh the letters have dropped off, though they say you got them all" to prove it's not about fraternities... to me, those are two of the main lines that clarify that the song is indeed in some way about fraternites.

To those who don't know, fraternities names are letters from the Greek alphabet (example: Sigma Chi are the Greek letters Sigma and Chi). When you go from pledge to active, your pledge letters drop off when you hand in your pledge pin and are pinned as an active member.

I won't ramble on about this because I really don't enough about it to do so. Look, I have no horse in this race and have no problem if people want to say that it's not about fraternities because Kevin Griffin said that was the case.

All I will say, is that to anyone who has ever pledged a fraternity that hazed, and watched pledge brothers quit because they got hazed worse than the rest of these group... a lot of these lines are relateable. That's all.

The Used – Buried Myself Alive Lyrics 11 years ago
I believe this song is about being trapped in negative situations.

There are really only two choices... continue to bury yourself under the weight of the problems the situation creates, or face the problems (putting your foot on the neck of your them).

It can be related to drugs (puking the day away) as well as other human beings, and even when we put ourselves in negative situations through our own actions.

I'm not a huge fan of most of The Used's work, but I really enjoy this song.

The Smashing Pumpkins – Wildflower Lyrics 11 years ago
End of the album. I'll give my thoughts on Wildflower and then on the album as a whole.

---

As far as Wildflower...

I think it's about acceptance, forgiveness, and moving on.

Wildflower in the wilderness outside
take your chance with love and laughter

I'm big into song titles, especailly with the Pumpkins.

A wildflower is a flower that blooms, but was not intended to do so. It is a seed that was not planted, but from which a flower grew.

In some ways I think the entire album Oceania is a bit of a wildflower and here is where I will go into my recap of the entire album as a whole.

---

Billy began the Teagarden project in August of 2009 and Billy and the Pumpkins vision was to release songs individually.

In 2010 Billy started dating Jessica Origliasso from the Veronicas (who is from Queensland, Australlia... which is part of the Oceania region). They split in June of 2012 and Oceania was released in June.

I believe that much of this album is directed towards their relationship (much in the same way that Third Eye Blind's "Out of the Vein" was directed at Charlize Theron, who Stephen Jenkins had broken up with).

Billy has said in interviews about Oceania

"If you listen to the lyrics, it was written around some serious relationship strife. When somebody breaks your heart, you can choose to accept, embrace, and forgive them, as opposed to condemn them. I got a few albums out of [sic] condemn! Now I’m working on compassion as a device."

While there are a few songs that are incredibly bleak (Violet Rays for example), there are also a lot of songs that are very cheerful and geared towards moving on and forgiveness (Pinwheels and Inkless for example)

--

If I listened to this album out of order, I would give it a 7/10. It's a solid effort and while there are a few "misses", there are also some amazing individual efforts (Schroeder is awesome on guitar, I've seen him live with the Pumpkins and he definitely holds his own) and there are some very inspiring lyrics.

Listening to the album in order, I think Oceania is a very respectable 8.5/10.

I don't know that it's entirely a concept album... but it definitely has a lot of elements of one and I fully believe that songs 4-8 (at the minimum) are very much a journey/concept.

I don't think that it tops the highs of albums like Siamese Dream or Mellon Collie... but I also don't think that the anything Billy or this Pumpkins lineup does needs to top those phenemonal albums in order to be considered a success. It's not Mellon Collie... it's something different, but different isn't always bad.

I'll sum this up. I think that Oceania succeeds because Billy has finally given up on trying to show up or replace the old Pumpkins.

Just like he's found acceptance in his loss in his relationships, he's found acceptance in his loss of the old group.

I think that Billy summed it up best:

"it is the first time where you actually hear me escape the old band. I'm not reacting against it or for it or in the shadow of it."

I don't always belive what Billy says, but in this instance... I think he's spot on. He's moved on and it shows.

submissions
The Smashing Pumpkins – Inkless Lyrics 11 years ago
I dont think it's so much Billy riding beside her (whomever the song is directed at) in a car, as it is someone else who she is trying to replace him with.

He doesn't say he rides beside her... he distinctly says:

"And what you feel for me rides beside you"

As well as:

"And what you need of me you've got inside you"

---

I think this is a "moving on" type song. He knows he's been replaced, but he also knows he's left a mark and is comfortable with that.

He might not be next to her, but what she felt for him is in that person... and she still feels for him inside, in some ways.

She's gained that knowledge from their relationship and taken away from it and will use the lessons she's learned in the future.

---

Then again, I could be very wrong.

---

As far as Inkless?

Ink is written, draw, put on paper.

My guess is that this is kind of a "looking towards the future" song, at a moment that maybe hasn't happened (not yet inked).

That could be VERY wrong as well though. I grew up in Chicago and have been a Pumpkins fan for somewhere between 15-20 years. All I can say about them is, Smashing Pumpkins lyrics are insanely hard to decipher. :)

The Smashing Pumpkins – Oceania Lyrics 11 years ago
One more thing to add after thinking about it. Oceania is basically the Australlia and the surrounding areas. Billy's ex is from Queensland, which is in Oceania.

(another reason why I highly doubt this song has anything to do with the ex-Pumpkins lineup. I think it's pretty solely directed towards his relationship with Jessica and it's the "full circle" ending to the 4 track concept that began with Violet Rays)

The Smashing Pumpkins – Glissandra Lyrics 11 years ago
Well, Glissandra was a cheerful Disney fairey who wore a lot of makeup.

I have no idea how that really fits into this song though :)

--

Seems like the end of a journey that didn't really provide a resolution.

Iused to know
What a wish was for

is the lyric that is repeated over and over. It seems like an admission of confusion.

However, I can also intrepret it as, In the past he knew what a wish was for, but wishes are foolish and he's gained the knowledge to appreciate the journey rather than wishful desires.

I’ve been hungry and I’ve been full

Is another line that is repeated a lot. It kind of shows the full-circleness of the journey.

I feel like I'm missing something with this one though.

The Smashing Pumpkins – The Chimera Lyrics 11 years ago
I'm pretty confused with this songs meaning.

A Chimera is a beast/monster that is comprised of the parts of a lion, a serpant and a goat.

I don't know how that really relates to the almost lovey-dovey tone and lyrics of this song.

Whistle past the lane
'Cause love's forever strange
Nestle on the sun, starlight
Nestle on the sun
Should you hear that faint murmur
Of what love has done

It somewhat ties back into the 5 concept songs from earlier in the album. Billy is past the winter/coldness and is into the summer/fun.

The actions from "Violet Rays" are a murmer now.

I'm probably way off on that though.

Agree with the take on Thorazine and I think that we're out of the "concept" portion fo the album.

Thorazine is Chlorpromazine ( it is marketed in the U.S. as Thorazine) and is used to treat schizophrenia.

In old horror movies that featured asylums you'd always have a character that just shuffled around everywhere, but went nowhere... that can be a side effect of Thorazine.

The Smashing Pumpkins – Oceania Lyrics 11 years ago
I think that this song does, in some ways, conclude the "concept" portion of the album that began with Violet Rays and carried through Pinwheels.

1) Violet Rays was about the initial loss
2) My Love is Winter is about Billy's hardening/blame following the loss
3) One Diamond, One Heart is about healing/forgiveness through the selfless actions of another
4) Pinwheels seems like an acceptance, but not really a resolution. it's almost a delusional and carefree acceptance.
5) Oceania seems like a resolution... not that it is a happy one, but a realistic one.

The narrator realizes they are better off and accepts that love is still a journey that is going to have "dark nights", but as long as one stays the course they will eventually find truth and happiness.

The end of this is in the following lyrics:

Find the faith on me
My mistake as the last remaining soldier
Was to take the place of you
Love the way
love the way and learn

---

I feel like there is definitely something I'm missing, but I don't know what it is.

Part of me feels that I'm WAY off on Pinwheels. I'd love to hear other interpretations.

---

I don't think that this song in any way references the "old" Pumpkins. I don't think that any of this is directed at them, though, I could be wrong.

I think that because I just don't believe that Billy views the old Pumpkins as a "wretched world"... he wouldn't have taken out an ad in the Chicagoland papers trying to bring everyone back together if he viewed them in that manner (in my opinion).

---

Sidenote: Some of the solos/riffs in this song are absolutely awesome.

submissions
The Smashing Pumpkins – Pinwheels Lyrics 11 years ago
Ah, I finished Pinwheels and I agree with the idea that it's a 4 song concept.

---

Violet Rays is the questioning of the infidelity/unfaithfulness, followed by the initial loss due to it

My Love is Winter is the despair/greiving stage, but the end provides a very little bit of hope

One Diamond, One Heart is finding that person who gets you back on the horse and believing in love again.

Pinwheels is about accepting that initial loss and coming out from it in a better place with a better attitude

---

The titles of SP songs are generally very meaningful.

I can't for the life of me figure out what Pinwheels means in relation to this song.

I guess a pinwhell is a toy that you blow on (or wind hits) and the force of the air sends it spinning round and round. Pinwheels are generally colorful and something children play with.

I think I'm missing something here as well. Maybe the notion of the pinwheel is the notion that love itself goes round and round in circles and we're all at one of the four stages in the process?

--

I agree that there is really no resolution at the end of the "concept" (4 songs).

That is illustrated in the lines:

Floating away I thing I'll stay as refused
Finding a way to make the loss seem now

as well as:

If nobody wins
then what gets lost?

submissions
The Smashing Pumpkins – One Diamond, One Heart Lyrics 11 years ago
Completely agree with sevinteen that at the very least One Heart, My Love is Winter, and Violet Rays are a concept and all play off each other.

Violet Rays is the loss
My Love is Winter is the despair
One Heart, One Diamond is hope building out of the despair

As far as themeaning behind the title, I disagree.

I view diamond as something that has been put through the meatgrinder... as diamonds are forged in intense heat and pressure. Billy (the narrator/charcter from the past two songs) is the diamond in this scenario, given what he has been through in the previous two songs.

The heart is the person who comes to help the rough, jagged, hardened diamond love again. A lot of the imagry is about just being there as a friend (I'll be on your side), as opposed to wanting something more.

So, I agree with the idea of the concept... but I think there is a little more too the title than playing cards. (but, I could be wrong... I have a tendancy of being wrong a lot)

I haven't got to Pinwheels yet, so I'm leaving that out of the concept for right now.

:)

The Smashing Pumpkins – My Love Is Winter Lyrics 11 years ago
I agree with this pretty much 100%.

The only thing I will add is that the end seems to provide a bit of hope as the last words are Billy repeating, "there is love, love, love..."

The entire way through the song every time he mentions love, he follows it up by saying it is lost. At the end though he comes to the realization that there is just love, with no more mention of the loss.

The Smashing Pumpkins – Violet Rays Lyrics 11 years ago
Definitely a song about a faithless lover, or at least questioning if a lover is being faithful or not.

I'd say there's an 80% chance at least that this is about Jessica Origliasso.

The only part of the lyrics that are a little confusing are the first couple lines:

Faithless moors
Pulling up your oars
From rivers I have crossed
In magic no heart’s lost

Moors are generally people from North Africa... and to my knowledge Origliasso is from Australlia?

Billy probably just used the term because it rhymes with oars and fit in with the boating imagry.

I do kind of like the image of a relationship being someone traveling on a rowboat and a breakup/infidelity being the boatman pulling up the oars and not allowing travel anymore.

The Smashing Pumpkins – The Celestials Lyrics 11 years ago
Definitely a change in tempo.

The Celestials are comic book characters from the 70s. They are from another world and are basically ridiculously powerful and imposing.

As far as this song, I agree somewhat with the notion of freedom.

Part of me feels that this could be a song from someone who resents The Celestials for stepping in and saving them, because they want the freedom to save themselves. The narrator is always special K (detached, numb) to their efforts and instead focused on living their own life... rather than worshipping the all-powerful

Another part of me feels this is one of those songs that Billy just threw together words that sounded cool together (he's admitted he will do this from time to time).

The most important line to me would be:

Even when their numbers draw you out
Everything I want is free

Essentailly, even when evil calls for The Celestials to come in and save the day... the narrator just wants everyone to go away and be free.

The Smashing Pumpkins – Panopticon Lyrics 11 years ago
A panopticon is a type of prison where the watchman (guards) can view the prisoners without being seen.

---

I think that Billy is saying that we are basically all prisoners of ourselves, as well as the watchmen of the prisons we build with our decisions. In even the darkest times, there are lights that shine in and those lights are what we should focus on in order to build our surroundings.

If I had to pick a few lines to illustrate this, they would be:

Use the views
To build don’t prove

(Panopticons offer many views of all areas of a prison... focus on the constructive ones to improve the prison, rather than proving it has faults)

as well as

There’s a sun that shines in
There’s a world that stares out of me

(the whole notion that we are kind of our own prison... an entire world is contained within us and it's up to us to view that world as a creator would view a creation)

I'm going to go through every Oceania song today (slow day at work).

I love Quasar.

It's basically just a declaration from Billy to the listener of what he wants you to expect.

I think the essence of this song is in these four lines:

Please allow me to say hello to you
Yes I understand
Yes I know thy will
Yes I am that man

It's basically just Billy saying, "I know you wanted the "old" Pumpkins, and I'm still that guy and I've always had it in me... so let's ride on right through this album"

It is very similar to the song Untitled in that regard. Sort of a, "I told you I could always do what the Pumpkins did in the 90's if I wanted"

Simple explanation would be a rebellion against a society ruled by lies and manipulation.

Kind of like waking up and realizing that those who you have followed have only been using you all along for their own selfish motives and being extremely pissed about it, hence the whole "I will justify my reasons with your blood" line.

I don't think it's so much about American goverment or society as it is about any unjust society ruled by an elite few who thrive and prosper off the toil and suffering of the middle and lower class.

The corporation theme is well and good, but you have to take into account the premise of the entire album being about the end of the world.

I completely agree that it has to do with those who "make deals with the devil" for what they think they need, when it's actually the devil who is getting your sou (the one thing you do need) and bankrupting you in the process.

When you finally figure out you screwed up and put your priorities in the wrong place, you only have yourself to blame.

Avenged Sevenfold – Critical Acclaim Lyrics 16 years ago
I see it as a giant "F U" to the members of the media and pop culture which love to take overly critical positions about things they aren't man (or woman) enough to actually fight for.

I just think of the anchorman who sits there reading off the world news then chimes in with his own stupid little agenda, trying to sell his book that bashes the way everything is right now without offering any solutions.

Or the band that records the track about how wrong we are for going to war, then makes millions off their song and gives nothing back to the troops who are stuck fighting the war they're "protesting".

I could be wrong, that's just what I get when I listen to it.

I love this song.

I kind of see it as a song written about a girl who tries way too hard to fit in and be cool, from the viewpoint of a guy who used to try to live that life and saw it wasn't all it's cracked up to be.

Agree with Lapis though (the verse he posted), that is my favorite verse. Just the whole, "watch out what you ask for, you might get it" in this case she got what she wanted, and it gave her a headache. :)

Alter Bridge – Down To My Last Lyrics 16 years ago
I have to think that the personal background to this song would have to be Myles Kennedy's transition from the Mayfield Five into Alter Bridge... probably had a lot of people who told him not to do it as well as many who supported himm, seems like he's reflecting back on all of this.

Also, stepping into Scott Staph's shoes at that time would have been a HUGE move and I'm sure there was a lot of uncertainty on Myles' part. The whole verse about how he's not the right one to bear the weight on something fueled by words he learned to hate... it's kind of about how he wasn't the guy who was going to come in an be Scott Staph... but at the same time though, Mark and the other guys in Alter Bridge didn't want him to do that. They just wanted him to be Myles Kennedy.

In general it's just about believing in yourself, drawing support from your friends and fans and not letting the naysayers bring you down. It's incredibly rare that anyone just stumbles into a "perfect" situation... generally you have to sacrifice and through that sacrifice you're going to have a lot of doubts and doubters along the way who try to convince you it's not right.

Rise Against – Blood Red, White, and Blue Lyrics 16 years ago
Close Matthew, but it's more about how Bush ran on his whole "compassionate conservative" platform and talked about being a God abiding man and how God played such an integral role in his life.

Well here we are 8 years later, launching wars we can't afford while our economy tanks. We have a court system that lets corrupt New York police officers off the hook who fire 50 shots into a man, then arrest the people who protest the injustice. R Kelly has been having sex with minors for decades, yet his trail has been delayed for 6 years now. The fact that he married a 15 year old girl (Aaliyah), doesn't destroy his celebrity status because he has enough money and publicists to spin public preception.

People in Katrina starve, while the government twiddles it's thumbs.

It's basically a call for people to hold whoever takes off next to their word. Bush said he would trust in God and blah blah blah, but do you really think he meant any of it, do you really think God would approve of the state our country is in?

Seems to be a very personal song. I always thought it was about the period of time after his break up with Charlize Theron. He was just really bummed and a lot of things lost a lot of meaning, but eventually he turned it around and this is basically his start at a second life "another life".

oh the time goes by and I realize, that I'm alright
you thought nothing would be the same
but life comes 'round again
quick wits and all curious
all caught up in what you say
and makes me grab the time
before it slips away

I also view it as advice to just keep persevering and trying to find ways to make it through the tough times we all eventually have to face.

Sometimes is all the time
Never means maybe

This refers to how he would lie about his drug use to those he cared about. If he said he was using sometimes it was all the time, if he swears he wasn't using it probably meant he was trying not too but still was.

It is a double meaning though, because it also probably refers to his feelings towards his wife through their divorce and how he probably tried to mask his feelings towards her, even when he was using.

I think this is one of Velvet Revolvers best.

July For Kings – Washed Away Lyrics 16 years ago
Where do you get that problems washed away? It talks about how "it was upstream then and now", meaning the problems haven't left.

No, it's about Joe reflecting about the time he spent with his father when he was a child... before his dad passed away.

I walked in my father's wake
I prayed for a god to take
the endlessness from those shores

and he held my hand
and I still hold his name
and my childhood born
and the difference
I let the water wash away

Not all the songs Joe writes are personal, but this is a very personal song to Joe.

He kind of hates how time has to pass and erode memories while taking those we love...

Those sacred trails
by the riverside left
(left by him and his father)
to these other souls
with no love and no hate
(people will walk on them and have no idea, they neither love or hate the memories Joe has left there)
they're bleeding the everything
they're soiling the brilliant green
and I'm drowning for the water's sake

Hopefully that makes some sense, it's a very deep song about capturing a moment (in this case time spent with his father that he can never spend again)

And to go along with what I was saying, it's not about alienation from others because if you look at this verse...

Listen, it's like poker, you can play your best
But you gotta know when to fold your cards and take a rest
And know when to hold your cards, hold your breath
And hope that nobody else is stacking the deck

It's saying that you DO need to put yourself out on a limb from time to time, but that life isn't about ALWAYS sacrificing yourself and trying to save everyone.

It's basically saying, pick your battles and causes because you can't win everything and if you try then you are going to be completely lost.

About Colombine, are you flipping kidding me?

Those kids didn't, "slip out the back", they kicked the front door down and started shooting people.

I am amazed by some of the interpretations people get from songs.

This song is just about not getting involved in things over your head and how it's sometimes better to look out for yourself then to try to be a hero to someone who you really can't possibly help.

Sometimes the right thing is the thing that you don't do... the cause that you don't involve yourself with. That's the message of this song.

If your world is messed up and lacking focus, and someone who is an even worse place comes to you looking for salvation... it's in your basic nature to want to help them, this song is explaining that sometimes it's okay to walk away and take care of yourself, because if you don't, you will end up destroying both of you.

First off, I respect the soldiers of the United State Armed Forces and the job that they do to protect my freedom.

Look though... comparing veterans of the Vietnam war to our soldiers serving in Iraq is a spit in the face of every solider who was DRAFTED into service of our country.

There is an off the chart size difference between enlisting and being drafted to protect your country.

Many people that the Boss is refering to in this song were average citizans who "got in a jam" (as pointed out above generally financially or faced with jail time and took military service as an alternative, which was common during the Vietnam war), served in a war that they didn't believe in becuase they were promised a second chance... then when they came home they were spit on.

Maybe all Americans don't support our troops (which is wrong), but our troops who are over there right now all signed up to be there, they weren't drafted into service.

I love this song. The meaning is pretty easy to dervice... don't give up on your dreams even if people around you tell you that they are crazy and you're in a rut for the time being.

If you put in the hard work (reciting lines in this case) then eventually you will succeed, maybe it won't come right away, but eventually.

Third Eye Blind – 1000 Julys Lyrics 16 years ago
I've always wondered what he is saying at the end of the song over and over as well.

It sounds like, "you say oceans baby"

For awhile I thought it was, "You say, patience baby" but I have no idea if that is correct or not (probably not).

Love the song though, and yea it's about sex but it's a little deeper then that, not as much as some people above are trying to make you believe though :)

The Smashing Pumpkins – Stand Inside Your Love Lyrics 16 years ago
I wonder how many people who commented on this years ago saying that completely loved someone are still with that person. It's just weird, I think back to 2005 and everything was different then it is today. Eh, hopefully everyone is still with their loves and still happy.

My favorite lines from this song:

and for the first time
i feel as though i am reborn in my mind
recast as child and mystic sage

It's one of those rare moments where everything that is happening is as fun as figuring things for the first time when you were a child... yet now you have the wisdom to appreciate it. Special indeed.

Lostprophets – For all these times son. For all these times Lyrics 17 years ago
It's about going through adversity, learning from it and pushing on stronger then ever.

All these times are the times where things didn't go your way, the failed relationships, the goals that you didn't achieve... it's about recognizing those times and using them as motivation to succeed down the road instead of letting them hold you back like so many do. It's about the time you weren't there for your firend, and the day you look back and realize you weren't there, realizing it, and not letting it happen again.

It reminds me a lot of "Lucky You"... always trying even if you fail the first 100 times, knowing that those 100 failures each taught you something unique and helped you realize what it is you need to do differently to suceed next time.

Breaking Benjamin – Had Enough Lyrics 17 years ago
Man, I love this entire CD, I don't buy a lot of CD's but I was listening to Phobia in my friends car on our way to a Nickelback concert and I loved every single song.

This song is obviously about greed, I agree it has to be about Hummel.

I don't really understand the lines...

Intoxicated eyes
No longer live that life
you should have learned by now
I'll burn this whole world down.

Did any of the members of the band have a drinking problem? Was it possibly fueled by the drummer?

Awesome song, awesome CD... if anyone is on the fence about buying it, this is one of the best of the year, hands down.

Lostprophets – Rooftops Lyrics 17 years ago
It's catchy, it's poppy... kind of like the rest of the CD. The message is pretty strightforward, appreciate every day and don't be ashamed to let everyone see it. Don't hide yourself from the world, live life and appreciate all the joys it can bring.

Lyrically, I love it. A bit repetitive towards the end, but solid nonetheless, a great effort and a positive and upbeat song at a time when so many other bands just put out "I'm so depressed, life is so negative" stuff, Lostprophets never fails to put some really inspiring tracks on their CD's, which is one thing that I still do love about them and the new (well new'er) CD.

I don't know though, I purchased it last week and have listened to it a couple times now and I have mixed feelings about it... I'm glad that they tried something new and I think that the tracks all "gel" a lot better from start to finish on this CD, hands down.

But part of what I loved about Start Something was the fact that there were really hard songs like "Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja" and "We Are Godzilla, You Are Japan" with the scrathy guitars and screaming lyrics and then you contrasted that with songs like "Lucky You" and "Sway" and I just dont know if this CD can really even hold a candle to it's completeness... I think that lyrically this CD is solid, but it sounds too much like all the other "hot" bands out there.

I still like the CD and if you're a Lostprophets fan I think you'll find at least 3-4 tracks that you really enjoy. I am a little letdown though. I really thought that these guys were going to replace Finch as the mainstream "different" band. A band who could put together a CD with 2 scream tracks, 2 hard rock out tracks, 2 amazing lyrical almost acoustic tracks and then fill it out with a bunch of just different sounding music, but it's kinda just more of the same unfortunately.

Still would love to get over to the UK and see these guys live though, better then any of the other new crap out in the US at this time.

I know this isn't an album review site or anything like that, I was just wondering what some of the rest of you thought about the new CD. I'm not trying to bash it, I definately don't regret the purchase either. I just think my expectations might have been a bit too lofty.
