I really DO think it's about homosexuality. The biggest example is the "Galileo" part, since Galileo was forced to give up his views. "Spare him his life from this monstrosity." could mean stop the pain he feels because of his homosexuality. The "Bismilah" is how religion condemns homosexuality, thus he needs to let go of it "in the name of God." The "Beelzebub has a demon put aside for me." is his coming in acceptance that if these religions are true, he's going to Hell. |

From what I can see, the point is to tell what this song means to an indivdual. Third, what does his sexual prefernace have to do with anything? I really like this song. Just the image of someone screaming in a Cathedral is just chilling, and the way the sound changes from soft to angry when she says "Just say yes you little arsonist" is wonderful. |

I dunno if anyone else sees it like this, but for some reason I just get the feeling that if it were a man singing it, it would go freakishly awesome with trying to deal with homosexuality. I just get that from the "I wanna smash the face of those beautiful boys, those Christian boys. so you can make me cum, that doesnt make you jesus." I mean, can you imagine how hard it would be to be a man and have this crush on another man, the Christian boys, who HATE homosexuality. So then he would wanna smash the faces to let the anger out. And the "so you can make me cum, that doesnt make you jesus." makes me think of him saying it's no big deal, it's not that important. |
