It took me a while to get to this one because I haven't been on this site much recently, and I'd been getting more into some different stuff so I hadn't gotten around to commenting on the bosstones, but this is probably my favorite song on Let's Face It. Impression is good despite what people say about it "ruining them" but it's not as good as this |

I've heard discussions about chris being gay or bi on a couple songs. I only have one thing to say on the matter: leave it alone. If he is, if he isn't, there's still the emotion and it doesn't matter who it's conveyed about. a part of us will always identify with it. I have no problem with homosexuals or bisexuals, so if he is either it does not affect saves the day in any way in my eyes. But as I interpreted it, this is just about a friend that he loves as anyone loves any friend. It's a good song because it's well-written, not because of who it's about.

Jinx: thanks for the reccomendation, but I also love the interlude on get it faster, in fact I loved it before I had ever really listened to this song. I ignored this song at first when I bought this cd cause I got so wrapped up in the epic track after it, but after telling a friend how much I enjoyed get it faster he reccomended I relisten to this song, and he was right it is amazing. Why is everyone saying this song is on "on a wire?" it's not, clearly, because it's a good song and on a wire is not really a good cd. it's on their first cd, four minute mile. Their best. And why is everyone suddenly dissing ten minutes? You all know you liked that song the first time you heard it. Next you'll be telling me you don't like "I'm a loner dottie, a rebel" (another movie-influenced title). And yes, I did notice nfg and "nothing gold can stay." Outsiders . . . 7th grade . . . mmmmm |

It says in the liner notes of eudora (which is where I heard the song anyway) that it was a metroschifter song so that's what I'm assuming. It's about dreaming about a girl but knowing it's never going to happen, but not stopping the dream. |

yea, I agree that alk3 tends to make hwm songs sound better, but personally I much prefer the hwm version of "bleeder" to the alk3 one, although they're both really really amazing songs. same with radio, although the all-time best version of that song is the live one with chris conley of saves the day |

I agree with everyone, definitely about a one night stand that he maybe doesn't want to just be a one night stand. This song is great, and to that guy who said vagrant was the worst label out there, fuck you. There are a billion worse labels, and some better ones I'll admit but this song is great, this band is great, and all in all vagrant ain't half bad either. |

The only time suicide ever passed through my mind is when I read the title, before I ever heard the song. It's about wondering if he's lived a good life, if he's done everything he wants to, that he needed to. If he died tomorrow, would he be ready? I love this song because it's not sad, really, it's just kind of pessimistic. |

I go on these posts all the time and see people arguing about "emo" and "new age emo" and it is really really funny because it's not in how you classify it or what it's called, but how it sounds and whether or not you like it. So if someone likes TJT and also something more punky, who cares? it's music they like. Be glad that they like TJT, and if you don't like the punk stuff then don't listen to it. |

I latched onto this song when I got "something to write home about," not for any particular reason, I just really liked it. For some reason it's always the first and last song I listen to on the cd. The entire cd is great, but this has always been and will always be my favorite GUK song. |
