Yeah, I was surprised too how this doesn't get more attention. I wish this song existed when I was a lost teenager. SilkAndSteel pinpoints it, this song surely feels real but still gives you hope of a light at the end of the tunnel. |

Probably the most cheesy song I ever heard, I can't stand listening to it for a second. This singer/songwriter genre with Radin, Jack Johnson, whoever made that Billionaire song etc is just awful. There's no heart in any of the songs, and I'd bet that most of the guys in this genre started playing guitar to get girls and thanks to a voice that attracts teenage girls they manage to get wealthy despite a total lack of real talent. Ugh, this has bothered me for so long, bash me if you want but I don't see how anyone can claim there's any message or heart in this song or anyone like it. |

I love the melody, the verses and the title... but the chorus is just too cheesy for my taste. It's frustrating, the song could have been so much better if they put some effort into the chorus and not just throwing in some pop sounding cr-p :/ |

My favourite Augustana song. I think it is about a person who distances him-/herself from others, too scared of getting hurt to let anyone get close. But he/she's "bleeding for nothing" as you need to let yourself be vulnerable to ever win friendship/love.
At least that's the interpretation that appeals to me. |

My interpretation is that he is having a hard time coping with life. He can't stand it but still can't leave. He states that there are no happy ending for him, maybe refering to God by

Could also be the suiciding thing, then the "As I turn blue" could be quite literal. But I feel it's to obvious. |

Incredibly beautiful. My interpretation is that he is having a hard time moving on after a break-up, probably from a relationshit neither of them were ready for. He doesn't want to feel like it was his last chance for true love, like he lost 'the one'. He wants to be able to move on.
I feel that makes sense and that's a meaning I can relate a lot to. |
