If you guys really think you could come up with decent parodies (ie starfishchild, whatever) more power to you. It is not easy. Alot of people comment on my musical prowess and intelligence, and still most of my parodies suck because it is very difficult to do well.

Wow... I can't believe no one has said anything about this song. It is probably one of most controversial Styx songs in my opinion. The guy is talking about the evils of rock and roll and how they are so often accompanied by sex and illegal drugs. I will say that I havce nothing againsat rock and roll, but it seems to me that it is a misconception that everyone who listens to rock and roll are druggies and sleep around. So I guess there are to sides to weigh. BTW, does anyone know what the latin phrase at the beginning of the song song means? |

This is probably my favorite song on the album save for Are You Happy Now, and again it just shows how much she's matured since her last album. She is not the little girl that she was; she's grown up. Still, though, she can't get over this guy. There are a couple of lines in French in the chorus which are "chaque fols que tu ton va, le pretend que tu fais bien", It means "every time ou walk away, I pretend that I'm okay" |

I think that this song is pretty self explanatory, but it sets the mood for the entire album. It is saying that she's happy now and she's left all the old crap behind. This album shows a more mature Michelle Branch, branching (lol) out more in an emotional way. Her songs have always been so practical and aapplicable to any normal persons life. Great song. |

I saw an interview with the band The Knack and I think it was the lead guitarist said that a woman came up to him and said that her 16 year old son told her that this was the song that killed disco. he responded with a quiet but jubilant *yes!*. Great song. |

I dont really think that it is so much he abuses his privelage of having a girlfriend, a lover. I see it more as he doesnt know really who he is. He doesnt know what is wrong with the world. He seems confused and doesnt know what he world is supposed to be. The girl, tired of waiting for him to figure out what he is and what he is going to do about her in his life (i.e. marry her, dump her, etc.) leaves him. What really made me think this is the little thing at the begining and end of the music video where they guys talk about first, how much they love their girls, and then, how much they were hurt by how what she said "meant nothing" to him anymore because she is "going away". |

It doesn't seem to me like good gone bad, but bad gone worse - everything looks alright, but you know deep down that its not. Just then, the thing that looks like it is going to save you i.e. "the soothing light at the end of your tunnel" turns out to be the end of you. Very deep. |
