i think this song was written when david was particularly pissed off at "god". I think this is one of the more powerful disturbed songs, but then again, what song by them isn't incredibly intense? This is one of their songs that i really do relate to though. A one sided conversation with "god". You know when you just get seriously pissed at what has happened to you, or the rest of the world and you go outside and just yell. I can absolutely understand his feelings when he wrote this.

She dresses like a slut and is the worst thing that has happened to modern music since Shania Twain. lol, they all suck, country and pop. Come on just download some good rock and you'll never go back to this teeny popper shit. i suggest Foresaken by Disturbed, or Blue Monday by Orgy you know some good stuff! |

I heard this song and i've been addicted ever since...lol, absolutely kick ass, wow!!! I first heard it when swimming with my b.f in the pool and i just stopped swimming and turned the radio way up, after it was done i went WOAH! and ran inside to download it... what a great song eh? My friend thought i was nuts, abandoning them all to download this song, but it was so worth it, (had to apologize to them for abandoning them for the short while tho)... anyways, I really find this song most enjoyable, one of my most listened to songs. This song could be about some one who's seriously depressed, with out love or sure, it COULD be a christian song, and altho i absolutely HATE christian music, I don't mind this one in the least bit any ways, what ever it's about, love, depression, or "god" it is still kick ass, every one should hear it! |

brinker, no i think you have a good point. It could also however have no real point just be a kickin song. But I think it's more about the world and the economy etc. than nothing. "They pay homage to a king who's dreams are burried in their minds" yup... but who knows, like i said maybe there is no real point to this song. just kickin. I love this song... oooh, this is the one i listen to when meditating or stretching at night with a candle and inscence lit. One of my favorite songs, which i must have like 100 favorite songs, but it doesn't make this song any less gorgeous. I find that it talks about her need for love, her hurt from love, and how she'd go to any lengths to find love. This song is easily one of my favorite classic songs of ALL TIME! Along with Xanadu (Rush) and Still Loving You (Scorpions) everyone who hasn't heard this song needs to download it... But what it's about i'm sorry to say is quite obvious. He's doing drugs... I mean really if you can't see this your disillusioned. Read through the lyrics, obviously more complex than just "doing drugs" but thats the just of it,
"I have become... comfortably 'numb'" really. anyways. I really do like this song alot, and it's hard to decide which one does it better Tears for Fears or Disturbed... They are both very good, obviously the same song, but Tears for Fears has a more mellow way of singing it which kind of brings the powerfullness to a larger point, and then the disturbed version is so perfect to listen to when you are pissed off... so i just don't know. |

This is a very good song, Disturbed is another one of my favorite bands. I think like someone who wrote earlier, that he is referring not to his actual mother persay but society, and i do agree strongly that the point is that anyone who is different in any way is looked down apon, and that in itself is sick, so down with the sickness, if you get that?
I really do love this song, and it was perfect on the Queen of the Damned soundtrack, that is one of the very best c-d's i own. Everyone should listen to the C-d and please download slept so long by jay gordon of Orgy obviously. |

This is my absolute favorite song by this band. Dead Awesome. Strong lyrics and sound. He is obviously and very clearly writing his feelings completely. I really do enjoy this song... my favorite part is: She claims her life is like, some movie black and white, dead actors faking lines, over and over and over again she cries. I don't know why but that part always gets me. And I'm guessing that he was hurt (whoever wrote the song) when writing this song. to villi, thanks for telling me that disturbed re-did it, i honestly didn't know that. Well as for what the lyrics think, i really think it's talking about a child facing problems with his parents in time of war. My reasoning on this is:
