this is the song that held me over as a maroon5 fan. they were an opening band at a show i went to a while ago and i was kinda diggin their sound. when adam said "this is a brand new song...the first time we've played it." i knew i should record it. so i had this one song on my recorder for about a year until their album came out. even tho it was poppier on the album (isn't it always?) it's always gonna remind me how great this band is. |

awww i love this song. my dad loves it too. i think he just really confuses her, and he doesn't know why. he does stuff that makes her want to leave, but she can't. she always comes back to him. and he really hates that he makes her feel this way. i wonder what "city" he's talking about. los angeles, perhaps? ;) i love the music, too. so gentle. you can see that he's pleading with her. poor jane. |

definitely the best song on HTSAF. i'm so crazy about it. from beginning to end. starting with the beautiful piano and acoustic guitar and then falling head first into a thrust of distortion. you think it kinda ruins the mood but it only heightens it. from relaxed bliss to determined intensity. and i love the three beat drum scheme. don't ask me what it's called cause i'm not a musician. but it works perfectly. everything about this song is amazing. play it really loud at night on your headphones.
