Silverchair – Black Tangled Heart Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This song is amazing. I read an interview with Daniel Johns and he said that this song is often mistaken to be a love song. Its not. Its about suicide and the 'falling' is when you finally take the plunge. The 'rope to my heart' is also a reference to hanging yourself. But in my opinion it should mean whatever you want it to mean to you. |
Metallica – The Call of Ktulu Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Jesus, so heated in here, phew! Chill out guys. Its only an internet forum after all, there are more important things. Anyway Call of Ktulu is absolutely amazing. I never get tired of. As a guitar player I'm so in awe at how they play this so fluently. I have to stand stock still! But all other musicians in here will appreciate that the final 30 seconds, with the double bass really kicking in, is one of the best stage experiences you can have. Oooh, and BTW if anyone wants to ridicule my post. Go ahead. I dont care. I've grown above this level of childishness. |
Metallica – Loverman (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds cover) Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Nah, this is my opinion only mind, but I thought this song really sucked. Made me cringe the first time I heard it. Pure cheese. |
Silverchair – Without You Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Ah my god, this song is so beautiful. Am I the only one that gets majorly choked up by Diorama? Its incredible. |
Silverchair – Asylum Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Hey, I just bought the The Greatest View 12" which has the Asylum lyrics in it, so I copied em all just for you! Contained in my cotton crib Where I feel no turbulence The ocean sleeps upon a shelf and it feeds my apathy But I can feel it in the night Like rain upon my skin inside a winter But you began to splinter If I decide to recognize my thorns 'Cause every time I see your face in a cloud I feel no violence So tilt the water 'til it turns me around To my own asylum Dry in the day, and fading away in the night I feel the sun before it's light And it fades away into the night I was afraid, I feed myself I cleared the shelf and killed the shame But I can feel it in the night Collect the rocks and throw them over borders To shake the muddy waters And clear myself from hiding every thorn 'Cause every time I see your face in a cloud I feel no violence So tilt the water 'til it turns me around To my own asylum Dry in the day, and fading away in the night And we grow, before we go over the window You're just a fool for him 'Cause every time I see your face in a cloud I feel no violence So tilt the water 'til it turns me around To my own asylum Dry in the day, and fading away Silverchair.nu are pretty damn close, I think they're out by one word! Anyways I absolutely love this song, its incredible performed live (not by Daniel Johns unfortunately, a mate sang it to me) Daniel Johns, you are a genius sir. I thankyou. |
