Massive Attack – False Flags Lyrics 18 years ago
I think this song is about the hopelessness of fighting; how all these people rioted and died for a cause and nothing changed excepted for some 'pretty flames.' I think he is trying to point out that blind patriotism and faith are the cause of this. Hints lines like 'the flags are false and they contradict' and 'this christian breeze turns its heart to more needles please.' I think he's right as well... Nothing has changed... Amazing song though... Such a change of sound from their original form. Always leaves me feeling helpless... A must hear for Massive Attack fans...

wow... Worseintention13...

Don't try to listen anything the least bit creative untill you get out of your pit of shit that you call music.... and no people... sometimes what is called art is actually not art at all...

Heh...

Nice FacUtSciam... I think you've pretty much got the idea...

Gorillaz – Dirty Harry Lyrics 18 years ago
The Clint Eastwood stuff is a joke... they also have another song called Bill Murray.... It's mostly just for fun... Maybe an inside joke for Albarn...

The Gorillaz is a side project of Damion Albarn's... He had DJ Danger Mouse help him out on this album. The Gorillaz are cartoons because Albarn is making a point that most bands out there are fake and zombie like (soulless). That they are just characters...

I'm sorry... but this song is blatantly obvious in it's meaning...

Gorillaz – O Green World Lyrics 18 years ago
This whole album seems to be ripping on the modren world and how screwed up we are all.

The soldier in Iraq makes alot of sense. The 'Green World' could very well be the home land of the soldier since he is now fighting in a desert, and when he finaly comes back home, his love, or maybe even his country that he fought for has left him or changed... Now all he does is sex and drugs to forget his time in war, to rust it away... Its the only thing that makes him feel good now, makes him feel holy... Also, the Iraq war is a new type of war... He is fighting something new.

I also like the idea of how we are ruining our natural world, nature, with technology and polution. His voice is filled remorse and pain... maybe even a little bit of longing... Also, the picture in the CD booklet depicts a landfill for that particular song...

Gorillaz – Kids With Guns Lyrics 18 years ago
I believe that this song is about people with power that should not have it... like kids with guns... It could very easily be related to Bush or even Tony Blair... This songs seems to preach about how these authority figures take over, hypnotize the populous, and corrupt us all for their own petty benefits. That they are 'turning us into monsters, turning us into fire."

Dishwalla – Until I Wake Up Lyrics 21 years ago
I really don't think any of Dishwalla's songs are about suicide. Most of them are, yes, depressing, but not suicidal. My take of this song is that he feels closer to God only when he is sleeping. He has referred to God as a she in the past, but this might be a lil bit of a stretch.

Wow, are we not touchy. You can still belive what you want to belive but my point still stand. All that you have done is insult me.

Dishwalla – The Bridge Song Lyrics 21 years ago
Well, defiantly leads me to belive that they are Christians. Although I'm not full sure about this.

This song kind of gives off a sence that he is about to die, but maybe it's more about how he is losing his faith in God. I don't know where to go with this song, maybe I'll come up with something more indepth later. It is not like any one is reading this.....

Dishwalla – Stay Awake Lyrics 21 years ago
I'm pretty sure they are saying "don't" instead of "donut". Anywho, this song's, my overly but maybe right, meaning is a man scared of something imaginary, and causing him insonia. What he is pretending to feel or see maybe aliens, but it might be anything if you ask me. A guy with a foil hat? If you have any info or input, I'd really like to hear it because this song has me......it's keeping me awake.....

Dishwalla – Angels or Devils Lyrics 21 years ago
I have to disagree that this is a break-up and/or relationship song. I belive that this is more of dealing with the evils with life. "this is the last time
that I'm ever gonna come here tonight
this is the last time - I will fall
into a place that fails us all - inside". This part here is not so much for going to your girlfriends or boyfriends place after a break up. The author of this song uses the words "all" and "inside". How could going to your ex's house fail us all inside?

Dishwalla – Charlie Brown's Parents Lyrics 21 years ago
This song is slightly anti-christian, but not ant-religeous. The Jesus he is talking about is not the real man, but the kind of symbol that some christians create to there liking. This jesus has no visions or ideals, and just goes around converting people, while the real Jesus isn't like that at all. Also, comparing jesus to Elvis is logical because it's the same kind of worship.

Listen, people. Christianity isn't about changing people to fit the religeon. The bible is not a rule book; it's more of a survival guide. -At least that is my take on it

Dishwalla – Counting Blue Cars Lyrics 21 years ago
Part of this song is about how people don't think about God enough, or don't bother trying to philosophise. "Dishwalla are not Christians"-Eggos=yum, I'd have to disagree with this. Although I'm not absolutly sure about this, Dishwalla ARE Christians. The song "Charlie Brown's Parents" does make fun of christians, but not the religion. On an other note, I have no idea what the blue cars are supposed to be; any ideas?

Dishwalla – Moisture Lyrics 21 years ago
This song may be about an unsuccessful relationship, and the author may feel like somthing was taken from him at the break-up. "why did you take water from my well" could support this.

Radiohead – You and Whose Army? Lyrics 21 years ago
To humor UnemployedDaysleepe, I'll comment on this song, but first, what do you mean by "how much more appropriate can a song be for "our current situation""? Are you saying the USA is just bullying Iraq, or that Iraq is taunting USA to strike them?

Radiohead – Knives Out Lyrics 21 years ago
Wow, thanks for telling us that three times UnemployedDaysleepe.... Anywho, I belive that ReActor and/or 1337MonkeyCrap are the closest to this songs meaning. That's what I think at least.

Radiohead – Dollars and Cents Lyrics 21 years ago
As you may of notice, the "why don't you quiet down?" part is some sort of argument. I don't know if it is between boss and worker, but I'm pretty sure it is important to this song's meaning.I can't fully hear what the person in the background is saying. This is my guess "and you always promise me".
