now wait, i dont get how everyone is saying this has nothing to do with drugs. Yes it is about self mutilation but

To me it sounds like he is trying to get high but cant. He remembers everything because his tollerance has been built up to the injection. I dont know what i really think this song is about but it is mutilation. Drugs mutilate you, same with cutting yourself. I guess its all in the way you interpret it.

Maynard is the best artist i have ever heard, and his songs, they have more than one meaning to any of them, i mean come on is the greatest man alive. His voice is great, the guitar solos are great, any band he has done anything with have become great. I mean look, he worked with APC, Tool, and Deftones, and they are all great bands. But that is my opinion, and may be a lot of other peoples, dont discriminate though. |

I dont know why they didnt release this song. I got their greatest hits cd and the second cd has a bunch of unreleased songs and they are really cool. This song is really awsome, i love the sound of the piano in the background and the meaning of the song is being down, needing friends to pull you up, and not leave you down. |

I have felt this way many times because i thought eveything that happend to me was all my fault and that i was one big fuck up. But eveyone who reads this rememeber, look at life differently and you will see what is really going on. You arent alone in anything. This song, yes it is sad, but you need to look at it as someone telling about the lowness some people can feel, and even the perfect people get hurt, and yes eveyone does go away in the end. |
