misty mountain hop is about the lord of the rings trilogy too. and wasn't page into all the occult stuff, not plant? but anyway, i don't think this is the best LZ song. i mean, it's musical genius, but they do have better. adding the ocarina in this song added to the effect so much. and as far as musical technicality, what else would you expect from page jones and bonham? =) |

it's call ska chords. play them on the treble pickup. only strum the higher notes in the chords. to get the really high pitched notes though, you need to do pinch harmonics. um... just pick those with the back of the fingernail on your thumb. that should get the sound right. this is a really hard song to play though. i play the bob marley version =) it's much easier |

this song actually is pretty deep. it's using the shower as an analogy for people's moods swings. "the temperature changes" etc. it's about how people just randomly get hotheaded and how it makes him lose hope in people. "it's like the shower's going pee". that's symbolic of how people think they can just piss all over you and expect you to take shit from them. also, if you haven't figured out that i was joking, you need to be executed. |
