zeequick i agree with you again! PEOPLE GET THIS THROUGH YOUR HEAD! NOT ALL TOMPETTY SONGS ARE ABOUT DRUGS OR WEED! I MEAN HEY I LOVE WEED BUT NOT ALL OF HIS SONGS ARE ABOUT IT. sorry i just had to get that off my chest. oh ya about the song, if you search for tompetty songs on a search engine and go to this song you will find, well at least i found a website that posted tom petty interveiws about his songs, and tom petty said in an interveiw about this song that he was talkin to a pilot that flew him to state to state for shows. and he said "i bet its hard to fly a plane" and the pilot said "no its actually pretty easy but coming down is the hardest part" petty told the interveiwer that once he heard that he just started to roll the rest of the song out off his tounge with not such a meaning. thanks...

i agree with zeequick i love this song and i love tom petty he rocks, specially in concert! you have to see him hes the best live. but ya when i hear this i just want to stand up for myself and kick the shit out the ppl i fukcin hate!

i agree with druggie, i guess you can only relate if you are a "druggie" yourself. but whoever thinks tompettys songs are all about drugs. you shouldnt even be a petty fan then. im not saying that he doesnt do drugs or even right songs about it, just not all of them. thanks |

ok im sorry, but after reading every post listed on this song it just made me mad to think that everyone thinks this song is about pot. hey dont get me wrong i love pot! ok and im sure alot of you do to, as well as tom petty. BUT unlike some of his other songs THIS particular song is NOT about pot. and if you search and read up about this song, facts from live interveiws will prove from tom petty himself that this song isnt about pot... thanks, oh and whoever said that all of tompettys songs are about drugs... look it up or something b/c not all are, but some. |
