o my. yes. im suprised no one has said anything. the smiths were a wonderful band. and morrissey was the lead singer. he had a side project too. they were around in like the 80's... very good band. you should check them out if you dont know who they are. |

Alkaline Trio – Private Eye Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i agree compleetly with sweetinsanity on this topic. i seem to get accused sometimes of being a "music snob" because when music gets popular i tend to stray from the band and get really aggravated when i see them on mtv. its not that i think people shouldnt listen to them if their image doesnt go with the image of the band, it just makes me sad when they get big because i know what happens. i think a somewhat good example of this would have to be weezer. i mean weezer is a pretty well known band but their new releases seem to be targeted more at the money making stream of music, and they have suceeded at that very well. the green album became very popular and i think every kid at my highschool knew the song hashpipe. its not that they shouldent its that i have too much love for weezer to enjoy a 28 minute cd that has such low quality stuff on it. and yet it was such a big seller. i dont think im making sense anymore. so i will stop. |
The Cure – Boys Don't Cry Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Misjudged your limits Pushed you too far Took you for granted I thought that you needed me more -these are my favorite lines and the ones i can relate to way too much. this song makes me sad. failed relationships are one of the most written about topics and this song is one of my favorite. the cure's songs are all very wonderful. |
The Mountain Goats – Going to Georgia Lyrics | 21 years ago |
i love this song and this band so much. i cant beleive no one has anything to say about this song. the way this song sounds to me, is that this is about a very desperate and depressed man. who can be comforted by the person he sings about so well. and that she/he can make him not want to die because they care for him. he is going home to them and he is thinking about all the past times he has needed them to be there to stop him from hurting himself. but thats just me. |
