As long as the band is good, who cares if they make a video or two? It's when making videos start to compromise for musical integrity and quality of the song is when it starts to get lame. If bands just want to keep pumping out their videos one after the other because they get more publicity, then that's where it draws the line. |

I am from Canada and I lived in Australia for a year. From what I have seen, Australians have very much the same views that Americans have. They actually are American wannabes. In high schools there you have Australian kids walking around with sweatshirts that say no more than USA with the flag underneath. It's like a cool thing to do. So I don't really know what Mike is saying about moving to Australia. They don't really seem to give a shit about the environment, they are extremely racist towards their aboriginals and other different people, and they spend most of their money on sports programs and things like that instead of education. The schools there completely suck ass, I was in one. Canada is way more open-minded about a lot of issues, we are more like a lot of European Scandinavian countries like Sweden or Denmark. Australians are ass-kissing American wannabes. And just to finish up, I don't want to say that all Australians are like that, because they aren't. There's lots of Australians who aren't like that at all. But there is a fairly big relative concentration of the population that have the same redneck republican attitude of redneck republican Americans. |

yeah i agree with met the decline.i don't think it's the dad that shoots himself. the mother wants to spend time with the father (waiting in a backless dress), but never does (hardly used diaphragm). she knows he's cheating on her, but pretends like nothing happens, (i don't wanna know, cheat me). finally, when the father comes back (about a quarter to 3) and he finds that his wife has killed herself (stained thicker than water). |

i can see why people like this song, and like blink in general, but all of their songs that are "good" always consist of the same 3 power chord scheme and then mixing up where those 3 power chords go, and this song is no exception. it has a catchy tune, but i would like it a lot more if it wasn't like all of their other stupid songs. don't get mad at me, i'm not one of those people who thinks that all the fans of blink should be shot or anything like that, i just think that most good bands actually progress with time, and blink just seems to suck more and more. this latest cd was garbage with this song being the only good song. |

I dunno how positive it is...I think it's about drug addiction to an athlete, and a top student. ti's basically showing how anyone can be affected by drugs. The first part of the song is about how an athlete had to win a big race, so he stopped taking drugs and won. the second part is about how a top student always go the best marks, but it wouldn't "feed her fix" (for drugs). She need more and more endorphin ( a kind of injection drug). She was lonely, and she won her fight with loneliness with these needle injected drugs, "scars still under wraps". she eventually died i am guessing. |

exactly, propgandhicious. i mean on each of nofx's cd's since maybe S&M airlines, i could count all the songs i didn't like on one hand. they just make so many good songs, and almost none of them sound like any of the other ones. their combined lyrical and musical talent make them (mike) borderline genius. |

Ok, I think I have this song. I think that MyChemicalThursday is the most right. I think Alison used to be a normal person who got wildy possessed and is killing the person who is singing this. Isn't that cheery? "demons can return, he caught up with her" is like the devil taking over her mind. at first the guy can't believe it when he first sees alison(perhaps when she first attacks him) so hes like"and i can't blink so hail defeat"
"the sun won't rise again, not for alison" is like she will never be the same again and then"that's what i see in her eyes, but i can't breathe so" means that thats what he sees when he looks into her eyes as she is strangling him. very cheery.
then he thinks back "Maybe I can piece together five cold days in late december stories of a monster swallow in a snow-covered lake tahoe. Shining in a desperate despair...Alison was there..." means that someone died at Lake Tahoe, and Alison was there...."maybe someone close to her died, and she is wanting revenge"alison resides, on that frozen mountainside" is like now she can only think of what happened back then so she is determined to kill something to get vengeance. |

I think that nofx did a much better job that Rancid, they seem to clean up alot of the song. Probably just because i like nofx's musical style more. i dunno it just seems that way rancid isnt as talented musicians so it doesn't sound as good...thats my opinion |
