Wow. Ok look. AFI did not sell out. Davey isn't going to be satisfied with playing the same songs and singing the same stuff forever. MTV sucks. End of story. They trash thier great awsome shows(Daria, Undergrads, Clone High, Route 3) and play stupid videos. And yeah, if you didn't *bother* to find an AFI cd, until your dear MTV played them, you shouldn't *bother* to listen to them. You COULD have just gone to www.afireinside.net and downloaded some sample clips...' To JayMathew - What are you talking about? You think Davey has a telescope, and hes looking at you and saying thier music is for you? No doubt, we all enjoy it. And I'm sure Davey, Jade, etc. all enjoy helping us with our problems and inspiring us, but they do thier music because they like it. |

Alex actually said that he got the inspiration for the song from a bunch of teen suicides in Norway. Apparently, a bunch of teenagers went online to find people tocommit suicide with(by way of a website, dronline). He also said its about human's dependancy on technology and machines. |

OK to touch the religous thing...there is information showing that in the original Judaic beliefs, there might have been both a male god and a female counterpart. The name escapes me though. Point is, the bible(Christian, Judaic and Islamic) has always been changed by it's patriarical male sholars. Its very possible that that god is a female, or a set of male and female, or something undefinable. NSTS - you need to lighten up man...whats with all the hate? Your the kind who gives off negative stereotypes about goths and metal....you don't need to hate people you don't know (unless there conformist preps!!!) I agree with most of you...but hasn't anyone really thought of bondage? Hes got this person(taking he is strait, well just say its female), and she is acting as his slave. Hes doing all this to her, fucking her like an animal etc. etc. But for some reason he doesnt fully like himself doing it. He does it because he subconciously likes it, but feels bad about it at the same time...going from "let me violate you" to "you are the reason I stay alive"...hes saying part of him loves doing those things, love the pain he inflicts, but at the same time he feels extreme love for her. |

i agreewith Manson Maggot....i mean, those kids were Nazis and posuer-goths, but still. They did it because they were made fun of to the point of insanity, and couldn't really stand it anymore. Its far from Manson's fault(and i wasnt a fan when it happened, fact I was kinda scared of em lol haha). And Eminem was blamed too...I respect him as well, he stood up and tried to take a little of the blame off Marilyn. |
