Damn, such a great song to listen to on the road. But yea, I agree that it seems to be about somebody not going for help from others. If he falls, he'll remember to get back up (save game). He marches to the beat of his own drum, he'll fix his own mistakes, live his own life. I don't necessarily agree with this viewpoint on life but that seems to be the case with this person. Like every person in America? I wouldn't go that far ;) But I may agree with the angst part, that everyone is wrapped up in their own personal fable, the little drama that goes on in their head when blowing things out of proportion. |

Yea man, between this song and Stupid Girl you got your lead off into the "Breakup" mix. Sometimes when you're fed up with the shit women can throw your way these songs help ya cope or keep your mind off of them. Sierra Swan does a good job with the backup singing. It's just a good song. I think is very underappreciated, which is unfortunate, but the case all around. Great tune, fun to sing with and listen to when ya need it. |

I'm kinda torn to the meaning of this song... the chorus seems to allude to some kind of barrier to the relationship. Perhaps one has a boyfriend/girlfriend while the other does not, or some other reason why they'd stand there wanting more from each other but unable to get it.
But looking to the song as a whole I suppose you could say the main point she's trying to put across is that there aren't perfect relationships. What you think someone might be, is not what they are, but thats life. Dreams that you may have made for yourself from a relationship standpoint just aren't realistic, and though you can try, it'll never be that way. Yet despite all of its flaws it can still be love and be wonderful. Heh, I'm not quite sure if I'm on the right track, but that seems to be part of it.
Just like any song, you can hold the intricasies of each song lyric in any viewpoint that can be applied to you. This seems to be what the song could mean to me, but seeing other people's own views on this song would be interesting. It's not an overtly easy song to pick apart, as it seems she's going in two different directions with the lyrics. Just my two cents I suppose. |

The chorus is spectacular. I really can't wait to listen to more of this guy's stuff. The lyrics are a bit interesting as well, not the repeated bullshit you often hear mimiced in just about every new song these days. A great song, for sure. |

All I have to say is why does this song have the rating it does? What fool rated it low? This song is not only hilarious but it brings a good point across and is just entertaining. The chorus is great to sing along with. Tool will always be a great band. |

Chevelle has a lot of talent, this CD is definately amazing. However, I believe you have the chorus to the song worded incorrectly. Unless I'm wrong, I do believe its, "So lay down, the threat is real. When his sight, goes red again." Otherwise you've got it correct. Great song, great band. |

I was disappointed when Chevelle seemingly disapeared for sometime. I was a big fan of theirs... however now with the new CD on its way (A VERY GOOD ONE) I'm excited all over again. I'd say its a toss up between Closure, Seeing Red, and Forfeit for the best new song on the CD. Do yourself a favor and get Wonder What's Next. You won't regret it. |

Has to possibly go down as one of my favorite songs, its a toss up between Pardon Me and this for my fav incubus tune. The chorus is awesome here, and I like the strange way he rhymes his words throughout the song. Great tune. |

Well, its a toss up between this and New Skin. I didnt like most of the Make Yourself CD, but this song will definately go down as one of my favorites from any band. Its addictive, once you hear it you just want to hear it again and futilely try to mimic Brandon's voice when he sings the chorus. Great song, and interesting story to how it was penned Mr. Harry Manback. |

This song has a unique edge to it, I love the chorus. Really gets your music drive kickin' in, I think this band is sounding great and can't wait to get my hands on some more of there stuff. Looking forward to any CD release that may be coming. I recommend any who haven't heard this song to get off their asses and listen to it already. Plus, its a good message to carry with a rockin' tune. |

Is it just me, or does Earshot sound heavilly influenced by Tool. I mean, when the singer goes into the chorus of "How much must I live through just to get away?" he sounds VERY similar to Maynard that its just scary. Overall a good song, Earshot has some serious potential. |
