The Reign Of Kindo – Breathe Again Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Whenever I listen to this band, I usually get lost in the melodies and soothing tones going on throughout their songs.... It took me listening to this song about 4 or 5 times before I was like "Holy crap, this song is freakin' brutal" |
He Is Legend – Either They Decorated For Christmas Early Or They're All Dead Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Wait, so in order for a band to be good, it has to fall within some predefined label?! Brilliant! Unrelased - I don't even consider this screamo/hardcore or whatever the fuck you want to label it as, it's just music. We don't need to incorperate elitist bullshit into this |
Zao – 5 Year Winter Lyrics | 21 years ago |
LoL... badfxwagon.... just because it's dark and depressing doesn't make it non-christian. Read the Psalms of David... he was pissed and depressed a lot of the time... and through that came some of his best works (my best poems and songs come out of my pain of life, being a christian, or whatever else). Being a christian is a constant battle everyday that brings forth suffering and pain in hopes that one day we will get to see the true glory of God. |

I think it's about his mother dying. |
One Amazin' Kid – Elisabeth Lyrics | 21 years ago |

Elliott – Dionysus Burning Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Elliott rocks face.. when I saw them live, they played this song.. and it was like.. intense! It's not my favorite song of theirs (All my favs are on False Cathedral and Song in the Air, not to mention the occasional watermark high ;)) but they played this one with so much emotion and... *sigh* they are so good. All I know about this song is that Dionysus is the greek god of fertility, drama and wine. So ummm maybe he's trying to find what's right in a world that blinds us with it's "morals" and sense of what is right, but then he realizes that he's finally seen the ways of this world and people, and wants to change. That's my 2 cents |
MxPx – Chick Magnet Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Yeah it took me about a week of learning bass to play this bassline... then of course I had to move into the Deaftones - My Own Summer bassline because that was what everyone seemed to be listening to when I was still learning bass. I still have fun in college dorms with this song. I will sit by my door and play the basic bass part and anyone who walks by, I will be like "well (insert name here)'s a chick magnet, if you know what I mean..." It's fun.. I know.. I'm a nerd :( |
Elliott – Blessed By Your Own Ghost Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Imbrokn.. I totally understand.. this song and calm americans makes me cry when I am having really bad times or dealing with things in my life... it's just that powerful to me (Plus when I saw elliott live, they had so much passion and energy when they played... it knocked me over and made me like em that much more). I think it relates to how we all fall short of what we want in life.. and for me it holds a spiritual value about God (at least that's what I gathered from talking to the lead singer from elliott). We all live in a world where we are suffering for what we believe. Sometimes people place their hopes on things that aren't worth fighting for (stressing over fallen angels). And we kind of forget what is important and dwell on things that might haunt us in our future (blessed by your OWN ghost). In the first verse, Chris talks about someone who doesn't understand something, or someone completely (he wonders who YOU are, You wonder what he means) and he never really gets to fully understand what the other people wanted to tell him... or the other people might ignore him because we pre-judge his apperance and just "number" him, so to speak. That's what I think.. in a nutshell... I've thought a lot more about this song.. but I don't want to make this too long.. so that's all I got. |

Elliott – Drive on to Me Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I love this song, it's so powerful and unlike most bands that are considered emo, the lyrics are well contructed and have true meaning. Also, with the tight guitar and drum parts, it's just a simply perfect song. Elliott ownz me. Somethingworth, I am love close to home and top of the world. Something to Write home about was the first get up kids cd i had and someone showed me the joys of the juliana theory. Good stuff all around. |
