Virginia Coalition – The Waltz Of Roosevelt And The Fat Lady Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I've always thought it's cool that they actually go into a waltz during the chorus. |
The Vines – Homesick Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I love the shift in the tune from one part of the song to another. The first verse transitions very nicely to the "Nothin's gonna save you" part, which then transitions into "I can see..." which is easily one of the best moments on the album. |
Virginia Coalition – Nicole's Song Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I love this song. It's one of the few songs that I can listen to and never tire of. It seems clear to me that it's a guy apostrophizing to somone he loves. He has been asked to give this girl advice on another guy. Now, the singer cannot decide what to say, knowing that it is not this new guy who belongs with her, but himself. |
The Knack – My Sharona Lyrics | 22 years ago |
It's a terrific song. Very under-appreciated, if you ask me. The solo is great. So, yeah. |
Led Zeppelin – The Rover Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I've always loved the guitar in this song. From the spastic beginning, to the slurred verse, i may like the guitar here better than on any other zeppelin song. |
Elliott Smith – Needle in the Hay Lyrics | 22 years ago |
i must agree with those who hold that the song is about drugs. to me, these lyrics: down downstairs to the man he's gonna make it all OK i can't beat myself i can't beat myself and i don't want to talk i'm taking the cure so i can be quiet whenever i want could be about little else than drugs and if, indeed, they concern something else, i find it hard to believe that mr. smith would not have seen the inferences that people would make, reading those lyrics, and yet there is no convincing evidence in the lyrics to suggest something other than drugs. hey, maybe i'm wrong but if so i must be missing something big. |
