I read an interveiw with the singer of the band and he said the song is about remembering not to drink too much (or not at all) or else his voice will get fucked up. The way David sings, he really shouldn't drink or smoke or else he'll fuck his voice up and then there is no Disturbed. |

What point are you two trying to make? Where did being hypocrites come into this song? It doesn't. It's not a fact that people who believe in god are hypocrites. Most religious people on the other hand can be.
I'm not sure what the the song as a whole means, but the chorus is about eeyore1883 said, "Just because you claim to believe in a higher power and claim that you're a follower, it doesn't mean all the wrong you've done in life is wiped clean." |

I accutaully don't like this song. I think the sound is good, but the lyrics are well written for the song. Don't get me wrong, I love this band, I just think Walk Away should have been the first single. |

yeah, that's the feeling I get from Project 86 too. When I was still a Christian, Project 86 (as well as Korn, NIN, Slipknot, and others) kind of spelled out the pointless pressure I felt and gave me something to cope with.

You guys do know Project 86 doesn't like being called a Christain band right?
This is a kick-ass CD. I don't reslly like "Christain bands" because I think they lack musical talent (but then so does a lot of hard rock music nowadays), but this CD is great. I've never heard lyrics quite like these before. I can tell the band has grown a great deal musically and emotionally.
oh yeah, I have no clue what the song is about. it could be about pop culture, but I don't know.

I think Maffro has the right idea. God or "satan" isn't really tied into this. There is no reference to them at all

This song is not about "satan". I think this is talking about about people finally seeing through religion. The third verse is talking about how Jesus was/is never about religion.

I get the impression the song is about looking past religion and realizing there is much more out there. I don't really understand the third verse. I like this song becuase it's different from every single Project 86 song that's out there so far. Can't wait to here the new album when it comes out. |
