I'm just curious as to why all you people that say you don't like rap and this song and what not are posting a message on this? Obviously you have heard the song and thought enough of it to take the time to post something...however disagreeable it might be...or you like the song but won't admit it because it'll make you seem "less intelligent".
My point is: if you really hate the song as much as you claim to then why did you take the time to post a message? Why not just leave the people that like this song alone? |

I want to dedicate this song to my mom. Wherever you may be Mom, I hope your drunk ass has heard this song, cause this is the closest I'll ever get to telling you to f*ck off.
I heard this song once on the radio and it just made me think of my mom and all the shit. I didn't know it was written by Christina Aguilera, I'll admit I'm not really a fan, but this song will forever be her best.
And to anybody out there who has gone through some major shit, which I can totaly relate believe me, I hope that even if you don't like this singer, you'll give the song a chance. This song has now become my anthem. |

I saw the lyrics on the little lyric clip box on the side of the screen. I thought it looked kind of intresting because it said exactly how I felt. I've never heard this song before but I went to cdnow.com to try and find it and when I typed in Love Is Red and they said there was no matches for it! And I really want to hear this song. If you've ever seen the movie Cruel Intentions you'll totaly change your mind about the song being about drugs, Rxwqueen39. I don't mean that in any offence. But the song comes on right at the very beginnging as he's driving over the bridge. This song fits so perfectly with the movie, it's also what attracted me to it :) |

The song isn't meant to be argued over. Wether or not you think this song is Pro-god or pro-something else doesn't matter. What matters is how the lyrics help you and what they mean to you. That's the simpliest way to explain it and understand it. Who cares if Creed is a Christian group or not? Would you not like them if they came out in public and said "yes, we are a christian band"? No, you wouldn't care, because obviously you love the band or can relate to the lyrics. What else is there to say?

I remember when they played this song at the end of Buffy The Vampire Slayer's second season finale. I was already in tears from the death of "Angel" but when they played this song I just started bawling. Like misundazt00d said, it's such a beautiful but depressing song. Sarah has such raw talent, and her voice just carries emotion so well...Kudos to Sarah and kudos too Joss Whedon for picking a great song for the ending of BTVS's second season. |

Ya know who really gives a flying freak if you were out when this song came out or not? I'm 15 and I obviously wasn't around, but who cares? Can't we like it too? I'll admit, Def Leppard wasn't my favorite band, wasn't my type of music at all really, until I saw Def Leappard: Hysteria on VH1. That movie freakin rocks and it was their music on the movie that totaly got me into them. All of their socks kick ass if you take the time to listen to them with an open mind. |

This song is such an awsome song. I've been dying to hear it so when I got the song from the official 98 Degrees site through my mail with the FULL song on it, I was like "hell yes!" I was screaming so loud. After I listened to it a couple times I had the lyrics figured out completely and I thought it was such a sweet song!
To me the song means, as it's name states, a guy who's in love with his best friend. The best friend, however, is dating other people and is oblivous to his love for her. They guy (we'll say Nick since he's got the lead...) is afraid to tell her how he feels because he's afraid of rejection.
Now that I think about it, I'm positive I'm written a story with some other girls on the 98 Degrees.com sight almost exaclty like it... If you like the song check out the story "Love, Schemes, and Makeovers" on the Fanfiction site of the official 98 Degrees message boards. :) |

I think this song is deffinatly one of the best I've ever heard. What first drew me to the song was not the lyrics, however. It was the music. I think that they really sound great with the music/notes/ect and I also think the dynamics are great. They really did a good job of expressing themselves in this song. |

When I first heard this song I sat there thinking dayum! It's deffinatly one kick ass song and I love hearing it every time. I don't think people should classify it as some kind of "punk" music, or whatever you want to call it. If you really, REALLY, listen to whats in the song you'd appreciate it for what it is: a song that shoves reality down peoples throats. |
