The time we have is a gift. Don't waste it. Tomorrow may not come and spend your time with those who love you and you them. Don't take anything for granted. Also broken hearts teach us to be better people, thru heartache we grow and learn so much and we have an obligation to teach our children and also to introduce them to all genres of music. Music is a gift and I'm sure God is turning up the volume in heaven. Even if you hate the music your kids like, accept it and by doing so they may take time to listen to songs like Telephone line. Music lifts our soul, it gets us off it makes us cry and makes us laugh, makes us think and remember. Thank you ELO for all you have given us. |

After hearing today, and bringing tears to my eyes I have to say to me it's wishing I could call someone that I love, who is no longer with us. How little time we have with one another and how we need to cherish the time we have because one day we can only wish that we could tell them all the things we didn't when we had the chance. To me it's not about a lover but my father. If only I knew then what I know now. I would have called him every day. As a young girl we became estranged thru divorce but reunited only 6 months before he passed. My father gave me so much especially music. Music was his greatest passion. I grew up not knowing how much he loved us but instead was brainwashed into fearing him. I didn't know anything. All my best childhood memories were with him I know that now. He wanted everything good for me and the most valuable lessons in life I got from him. I am so grateful to God that I know now the man my father was. If I could tell him everything if he could just pick up the phone. A beautiful heartfelt song and hope that people will not wait til it's too late to call someone and tell them how much they mean and how they cherish all they have together. Thank you ELO |
