ikd-sj – genocide Lyrics 2 months ago
@KingVyrss
These lyrics most certainly were not on the official website years ago, this is a mistranslation that a lot of people have been spreading around since 2011. Some of the words that Akira sings in both english and in japanese in many of the band's songs aren't even intelligible due to his unique vocal style. So listeners just made up those parts on their own. Jistu's translation is mostly correct actually.

"I found a master four nine" should actually be "I found a master for life"

As mentioned before Akira's vocal style can be unintelligible because he tends to slur his words, whether singing in english or japanese. That's not a bad thing either, it adds to the atmosphere in a lot the band's music.

The japanese parts translate to

How long have I been here?
And who the f**k are you? (x2)

Your faces I can't escape
With holes where my bullets filled (x2)

And Jistu is also correct in the interpretation. This song released back in 2006, during the time many countries around the world were protesting the USA's invasion of Iraq. This included Japan. Hayao Miyazaki was openly protesting by refusing to make appearances in the US, Japanese game developers were protesting in their own ways. Ikd-sj was very likely protesting with this song.
