Afternoon, Another personal song for myself, as I've been on this drug. To me, it seems that Kurt is having very neutral, dulled, boring thoughts brought on by this extremely strong mood stabilizer, that personally had me feeling like a zombie. Anyway, once the intro is through and he starts yelling, this is his brief moment of realization that these neutral feelings, however boring and basic, are also quite the relief that he is no longer so highly wound up in emotion. Then comes the "I don't want to crack" - which to me is the relapse of mania. Hence the reason lithium is taken in the first place. |

Hi, I believe this song isn't just about our recognition of fears, but also the fact that they will all inevitably be faced. And really, the "grain of sand" left by the sandman (fear) represents that he was there, trying to infiltrate your brain. I guess just be relieved it was merely a grain.
