"Everyone is my friend" is a typical inocence way of thinking about others and even life. So this song is basically about the discovery of our own innocence, its dangers and harms. But in the end, in an act of corage, deciding to keep it, in its best features, alive in our hearts. So, after all, we hope "May we all make home safely"... even if we try the inocence dangerous road. The last line "It's not impossible to think of you thinking of me" is about remembering someone who breaks our loyalty, our love or whatever, showed us this harm of the inocence, but then decide to still love it and constantly asks if she/he still thinks about us. I mean, the guy was probably poor or a drug dealer or whatever - remember, the band was in Mexico, at least Pachuca del Soto is in here hehe - and Mexico is well known for being really poor and with high crime and gang rates... maybe? @[neverpanic:33335] very, very precise interpretation. I do add it's all about the "natural movement" of our thoughts when we start to care about others in general... I mean, we start to care about everyone even if they do the worst things with others like killing, lie, mistreat or wherever and so as with the kind of punishment they suffer after this (like beatings, humiliations, prison and etc.) and them, even with our big big heart they keep doing those thing even with ourselves... Our thoughts starts to be confuse like "I have to hate they, they dont care about me, they need to suffer the suffering they're causing to me and to others" but, suddenly, our mind start the contrary movement and we think "look at each other... Need the one you love and love the ones you bleed" and the circle starts again.. very, very sad song but precise.. nice band work <3 |
