@[ScribbledInk1975:32702] You're wrong. Arrangement of the chords determines whether a song or composed piece of music attain a sad or happy sound, and solely that, not the key itself. Natural minor chords in the minor key make it easier to make the song sad, but again, you can arrange the music in a piece any way. Could You Be Loved by Bob Marley is an easy example of minor key that isn't sad. Wake Me Up When Sept Ends by Green Day is an easy example of major key that's sad. And in the context of lyrics, lyrics often determine whether a song is happy or sad, regardless of the chords used. Despite its cheerful, groovy sound, Pumped Up Kicks is absolutely NOT a happy song, wouldn't you agree? |
