The Beatles – You Never Give Me Your Money Lyrics 6 years ago
Just found this sight and been reading Beatle stuff all day. I think this song is about a rich kid. You never give me your money( something real, love?) you only give me your funny paper.. money. I never give you my number ( something real) only my situation ( excuses).
Magic feeling ( when you got nothing you got nothing to lose).
Then they come and take him home...to being rich and what he is suppose to do.

The Beatles – Back in the U.S.S.R. Lyrics 6 years ago
I'm old and when I first heard the White Album I always think it's the Beatles either honoring early Rock & Roll or saying...we can do all music. Maybe both? Almost all songs are takeoffs of earlier records. I think Back in the USSR is back in the US...SR ( senior). And of course the Beach Boys...airplane landing as waves. Brilliant.

@[appypollyloggy:25865] You must be young( than me) In 1964 when the Beatles hit America the Beach Boys were huge. Kinda killed their fame although I think Brian thought they were great and a great reason to motivate him. Some of his best stuff came after 1964

Cat Stevens – Can't Keep It In Lyrics 6 years ago
To me it's not about another person at all. He is filled with love of life.
He asks us all....why waste your life away w/out love of life?

Cat Stevens – Sitting Lyrics 6 years ago
@[KevinDuignan:25863] Thank-you for this. I know nothing of any religion but understand most of this song as you describe. My favorite Cat Stevens line has always been "life is like" because I always felt that way about life( as opposed to others who think someone else has to open doors for us). The last line always bothered me. To me it either meant you can push as hard in this life as you want but you're still ending where you start from ( so that's not the answer) or start from a good place and so it doesn't matter if you push or not. Any thoughts?
