There’s a lot of songs I can listen to and relate to my own personal experiences, and this is one of them that really fit. I think he’s telling a girl that he wants her, and if he needs to, he’ll fight for her, because she’s worth it. He thinks it’ll work out, because he’s doing what’s right, and not having to hide his feelings is setting him free. |

I'm surprised at the number of people who don't know the literal meaning of this song. Of course it can be taken in different ways, the song is really about Amy Lee's sister, Bonnie, who died at the age of 3. She's saying that the memory of her sister is haunting her, and it's a really painful and scarring thing that just won't go away, even as time goes on. She took care of her sister, and when she left her, the love of her sister didn't go away. Her sister used to be so happy and when she died, that's what was left of her. |

Well first of all, shoutout to Smallville for putting me on to this song. I was really suprise for when I searched SongMeanings and couldn't find this song, or Chris Levy. So I published both the song and the page so I could comment on this song. I feel like this song is about the feelings you can't control. You have to listen to your own heart and let things happen. Then when you fall in love again "the same tape rewinds", you get feelings you can't control. It's a very emotional song and I think Chris Levy makes it really good with the emotion in his voice (and that falsetto!) |
