| Badd ass song. Main line for me that keeps me going.."don't give up, you got a reason to live". I've yet to see, if not already seen, my reason for living. Otherwise, I can't think of what I think it means tho I sent the vid to my newly 16 y.o. daughter who's dream is to be a firefighter & currently in a fire explorers trading program, her idiotic a**hole father disagrees & tries detouring her elsewhere & has had a cpl jerks nitpicking her F N CHOICE, it angers me. There's some good lyrics in this song for her, basically saying DONT GIVE UP, DONT GIVE IN, ( to others neg b s comments. She drives me crazy a bit with her 16 y.o. attitude tone of voice at times but at least I still get good talks/times from her. She lives with father yuk..vomit...a hole, (if u only knew) lol. & she's becoming like him & obviously it gets to me. Well enuf's enough. Good day | |

| Now this song here....I relate most to the title of it...straight f n up..I attempted & have had suicidal thoughts off n on since '88. I read the lyrics & see 2 possible meanings. Tho keep in mind, LOTS of songs have no meaning, to the singer, a band member, friend, loved one, 1st love, ending love etc, they're sometime just thrown together to rhyme or more than I expected w/Queen songs, they're is no logic or sense to them but will love admire Queen for infinity. This song I see maybe once in love, break up, his/her life always felt like 2 months of fun; which is a good thing, not long enough to be good tho, & 2 ys of pain. Maybe Had been together (off n on??) 4 years & last 2 years were painful & caused the ending of relationship or friendship. A lot of times the best of things we have then end, we feel like "life is over", what happens when ppl feel like that??? Die....it happened to me in '88 when my 21st truest love ever & I broke up, I was attempting suicide, I thought if he's gone, then I'm gone too. (Luckily he came back & following month i was told I'm pregnant, was pregnant at time of suicide attempt.) So he's saying at 1 point he felt like dieing but at same time he's saying "fuckit, I'm living it up", "I can't let go, eventually I will." Exactly the same for me in 3 ways, dieing, living it up instead & trying to get ex outta my head. I love knowing songwriters meaning yet at same time, I think knowing the meaning ruins the song. You have TO INTERPRET the song in your own way, YOUR OWN LIFE. its much better feeling. Listen to Queens song "too much love will kill you. 99%well interpreted to me/my life. Beautiful | |

| Yo ure all wrong, you speak as if the lyrics speaks for themselves. Freddie stated in an interview he had 3 songs writing at the same ttime, couldn't finish one so he played with it & put all 3 together & CREATED this song. True???? Idk I heard him say that..his life, his way/meaning of the song. Hell, who knows, maybe has NO meaning. But to put that song in so many different types of "music" or sounds of music is brilliant & amazing. The man was given many talents & he used em fully 100%. Personally, I agree to an extent hearing from his personal assistant & cpl others who knew him think it was a way for him to "come out w/his sexuality" but the song is from mid '70's, I don't think he yet told gf Mary about his probable sexuality then. They met in very early 70's, song was out '75.they were together 6-7 ys before he told her. Time/dates don't add up. Seeing/following him, seeing & admiring him numerous talents esp song writing, I think a lot of his songs have some to do w/his life in many ways. He's a god to me. Now a days, Queen still f n rocks & Adam in my new found god. Very close to Freddie but I refuse to ever "compare" ANYTHING in life. | |
