Ringo Starr – Memphis in Your Mind Lyrics 5 years ago
I can't help but feel that the lyric:
"It's a bad point of view
If that gloom got through to you"
is incorrect. I here it as:
"It's a bad point of view
If PAT BOONE got through to you"

It may be that some want to change the lyric to avoid slandering Pat Boone, but, IMO, the lyric that I hear, that mocks the old habit of record producers to have an original version of a song, often by a black artist, covered by a "safe" white artist, like, for instance, Pat Boone, DESERVES to be mocked!

The Zombies – Brief Candles Lyrics 6 years ago
This song is unique in the Zombies' catalog, in that the verses are sung by three different band members. The Chorus is sung by Colin Blunstone. Verse one is sung by Rod Argent. Verse two by the song's author, bassist Chris White, and, besides singing the lead on Butcher's Tale, is Chris' only turn as a lead vocalist for a Zombies' song. Verse three is sung by the Zombies' usual lead vocalist, Colin Blunstone.
