this song is so unbelievable. i think its about the last kiss of a breakup, when you can still taste the person you love on your lips. its about how all you have left are the dreams and how you are just dealing with so much that all you want to do is break down in the other person's arms. its just an amazingly beautiful song. |

um ... no doubt sold out with tragic kingdom. tragic kingdom was a good album but they changed their style. i like this song, i hate the new album. not because the music changed. not cuz they sold out. just cuz i think the music is really really crappy. same with return of saturn. the music has just gotten bad. so yeah ... if you like the new stuff you like the new stuff, if you like the old stuff you like the old stuff but dont push music away cuz the artist "sold out" ... if you had the chance to get more money every one of you would, and its lie if you say you wouldnt. and total hate wasnt even their best song as a real ska band ... it was good, but not their best [im sorry ... dont kill me for that] |

i think that the craze will evaporate soon enough and go the well beaten path of pogs and beanie babies. punk is about music, and should be about music, not the image or the clothing. too many preppy rich little snobs like to turn on mtv and watch dashboard confessional, blink 182, and sum 41 and tell themselves that they're misunderstood and punk ... it kinda makes me sick to think that such a great genre and such great music is squandered on little 13 year old girls who go to good charlotte concerts and think they have credibility. id like to see these kids go to a hardcore show in their $80 hot topic bondage pants and little pre-ripped t-shirt that says rebel.

i really love this song. i live in a white suburban neighboorhood full of girls and guys like this - it's a 50's reject town. i hate it ... but this song sums it up perfectly. its almost a sonnet, but not quite, which is very cool. the last line is the best, because its so true - as you grow up and look back it is never what you thought it would be. i just really really like this song, musically and lyrically. |
