The Zombies – She's Not There Lyrics 1 year ago
He's blaming everyone else for not telling him about her but it seems like were trying to and he just didn't want to know. He's quite clear about it in the song from the same album called, "I Don't Want To Know."

Franz Ferdinand – Darts Of Pleasure Lyrics 5 years ago
@[Smurfy12:29271] I'm assuming you're from the United States and you're offended that the French didn't join in the attack on Iraq still in 2010. Seriously, you should get over that. The French supported the United States in the Revolutionary War. The United States did not support either side during the French Revolution. The United States sat on the sidelines for years when Hitler overran France at the beginning of World War II. In the struggle for the existence of the country that assisted us in birthing our nation, we sat on the sidelines! And yet, you take offense that France didn't join us in a war of choice based on a lie! That's pathetic. Truly.

Paul Simon – Rene and Georgette Magritte with Their Dog After the War Lyrics 6 years ago
Paul Simon played this song last night. He said that he was at Joan Baez's house and looking through an art book. He read the caption beneath the photo that said "Rene and Georgette Magritte with their Dog After the War." He thought that would make a great song title but couldn't really figure out what the song would be. He decided that since Magritte was a surrealist painter, he would write a surreal song. The bands he mentions were just bands that he liked personally during that period. He thought that the overlap between people who were fans of Magritte's work and those particular bands was probably about 157 people in the world.

Margo Price – All American Made Lyrics 6 years ago
She was on NPR a couple of days ago and said that Mr. Petty was indeed Tom Petty. She asked him a question in this song because she said there's nothing more American than Tom Petty and that if she asked him a question in a song, maybe he'd answer. And, then, maybe she'd get to meet him. But sadly he died before the song came was released.

The Who – Disguises Lyrics 7 years ago
This is a guy who is telling a girl that he's completely forgotten about her and that he doesn't even recognize her anymore. Yet when he looks around in the crowd, he sees her everywhere. He thinks that she's wearing disguises to hide from him but the truth is that he's seeing her when she's not even there.
