You never really know the deal with people. On the outside, it would seem Chris had it made. You know he cared about people and everyone around him, so why did he do it? Maybe he/they couldn't relate to what he needed or was looking for. Life is simply complex and complexly simple. No judgement, heart breaking as it is. @[flamingpie:32271] Jude obviously sounds better only because he used it. I'm not saying you don't know what you're talking about but—what on earth does it have to do with little kid? The problem with interpretations is that, well it's not a problem at all, it's almost with all great art people walk away with their own ideas. I'd say that even artists themselves mostly can't relate to something they wrote at the time further down the line. People change. It seems to me this song is about an individual who's isolated and wounded by the past. The past haunts Jude. And John reassures him that he can do it. It's a kind song. It's really quite something else. |

I don't think that this bears any relation to the song, "Hey Jude," but it's sort of interesting to note that the meaning of Jude is "he who is praised". Jude, or Saint Jude, was said to be one of the Twelve Apostles. Saint Jude is known as The Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes—which it's not a strain to make a relation to Jude in the song. That said, everybody's saying it's about Julian. I don't really understand the relation, but hey... nah nah nahhh it's all good. Plus why the last minute change.
I have to say too that the line, "the movement you need is on your shoulders" is absolutely brilliant following the impossible line to not carry the world upon your shoulders. Release the pressure and begin. Brilliant. Man, they were just incredible, each and all. |

@[redsuitcase:25833] I think you’ve missed the point. Not saying it’s a bad thing, because you might be right. The adoration & touring is bullshit, it’s about peace of mind. The world isn’t going to be any sort of utopian vision, but one can find peace of mind. Probably more so than the “superstar”. I have no idea what you’re laughing at.. |

The last thing I believe about this song is that it's about a schizophrenic. That's absurd to me. This song is letting people know that we inhabit more than the world we see with our eyes, but the world's we can see with our eye. |
