Nirvana – In Bloom Lyrics 7 years ago
I believe this song is about a young man, or even an old man, who doesn't know why he finds happiness behind these things that he does. he doesn't understand the sole purpose of anything he's doing or how it will benefit him. all he knows, is that in that moment, he likes it. so technically, this could depict vanity. but I picture this man by himself because again, the only person he would want to please is himself. I guess that is pretty vain lol.

this song basically symbolizes a past relationship. the tombstones represent the broken past of their former relationship and the realization that this past relationship will always be something that has existed, even though she's dead to him.

Train – Drops of Jupiter Lyrics 8 years ago
I like to think that this song is about a father describing his daughter after she's gone out into the real world. I know that's probably not the intended meaning, but it's definitely a different way to look at it. "Tell me, did you sail across the sun. Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded, and that heaven is overrated." I think of that line as the father talking to his daughter who was so excited to get out of the house, to go to the "Milky Way" or "heaven" only to find that it's all not as good as it may seem. "Tell me, did you fall from a shooting star?" Did you get your heart broken out there? "And missed me while you were looking for yourself out there" Although you can see the whole world, you'll always go back and miss you me family and home.

Nirvana – Come As You Are Lyrics 8 years ago
I'm not sure if anyone has already mentioned this yet, but I see a foreshadow of Kurt's death in "No I don't have a gun" Obviously not an intended foreshadowing, but crazy to think how it definitely portrays his murder..
