Stone Temple Pilots – Atlanta Lyrics 8 years ago
On further review, Scott actually married Castaneda, about 3 months after the release of Purple (Sep 94/June 94). Irrelevant, but needed to clarify.

Incorrect. It was written in Atlanta, however in 1999, while Scott was going through a divorce with his first wife, Janina Castaneda ("the Mexican Princess is out of my life"), not during the making of Purple, which that album was written and subsequently released, in 1995 if I'm not mistaken, shortly after they married in 1994.

A haunting ballad written in Atlanta, this song is about Scott Weiland's first wife, Janina Castaneda, and the end of their relationship - they were going through a divorce at the time that was finalized in 2000. Scott's vocal is reminiscent of Jim Morrison of The Doors.

I forgot to include. As a bit of a student of astrology, of course, one of the many traits of Libra (of the negative variety) is considered to be shallowness. So in that light, I can kind of see using Libra in the title...but 3 Libras? This is where I'm lost.

You absolutely completely nailed it! However the part of the song of probably mere trivial consequence, that I've always and still do wonder, is what's the name 3 Libras all about? I'm a Libra myself, sooooo...silly, I know lol
