"Twenty-five years, images in red." Seems like a pretty chilling image to me. Perhaps it was a childhood friend who committed suicide quite young, and the writer (whomever in the band it is) can't get the image of his death and the blood out of his mind, so he wrote this song as a kind of cartharsis. Or, perhaps the red images are in the mind of the person who committed suicide, some kind of traumatic incident from his childhood, that has tormented him his whole life before he finally tops himself. I guess you'd have to sit down and talk to the band to really find out all the details, but it's a damn chilling song all the same. And a damn good one. |

DrFeelgood, don't you believe that it's the right of any citizen to criticse the actions of their government? SOAD may be of Amenian origin, but they're American citizens, and all they're doing in this song is complaining about how the 'American Dream', which started out as an ideal of freedom, has become bastarized to the point where all the politicians care about is their own interests, and their power over others. ("Unjustifiable, egotistical power struggle at the expense of...") SOAD don't hate America, they hate what it's government has become, and what it has done to the culture of the country. Open your mind, DrFeelgood. Surely the principles America is based on are immigration and the right to speak your mind about the government (ie: DEMOCRACY)? Read your own history books. |

How can you argue that it *has* to mean something? Who says they have to put accross a profound message in every single song. Jeez, they're human beings, and as such, are individual and inconsistent. Despite this, I can see the Horse/Pilot connection thing making sense. - Also - all art forms can have many interpretations and meanings other than the originally intentened one. Remember that. You have to accept that other people may be 'right'. |

This is, IMO, the best JoJ song, but what do ppl think it means? I'm pretty sure that it's about a girl who tries to commit suicide because her boyfriend is an idiot, and the singer is in love with her. I stilll can't quite work it out though. Does the subject die or not? Did the singer encourage her to take the pills? I really like this song. |

| I'm pretty sure this song is little more than one big Heroin Hallucination. I'd argue that alot of System's stuff is. Serj does have alot of strong political opinions (evident in tracks like Deer Dance etc, and on the website.), but they are really a bunch of laid-back crazy guys who do alot of drugs. this song has no cryptic deeper meaning; it's just entertaining nonsense. | |
