I suppose my interpretation is the widely accepted one. This song is about a girl who's become addicted to a "Class A" drug, maybe heroin or cocaine, and is forced to turn to prostitution just to find her habit. She's beyond saving and the world can't help her. It's cold and unforgiving. She wants to be able to fly, and live a normal life, instead of crawling like she is, but the world is too cold. And despite the choices she's made and all of her mistakes, she's still an angel. |
