@[robbie27:5504] "Im so tired I cant sleep" sounds just like one of my manic episodes. The song sounds to me like a self examination that revealed the ugly he felt was inside him. " Anemic royalty" refers to him being an icon despite the fact he is so weak and feels unable to live up to his image. However the line "Im on warm milk and laxatives/cherry flavored antacids" definitely speaks to heroin withdraw.

@[shadowwiththeeyes:5501] I always felt that it was an indictment on left wing politicians being as bad as there conservative counterparts. Jerry Brown (then and now) came off as the "moon child" that was going to turn California into a hippie paradise. I think jello is pointing out that power corrupts- "suede denim secret police", "die of organic poison gas" " you'll get to meditate in school" and "you will choke you little clown/when you mess with president brown". Plus there is always the Uber Alles reference to the German National anthem.

@[BigGeorgieB:5500] Spot on. Im on Lamotrigin instead of lithium. "Very Ape" also alludes to this sort of behavior. Bi Polar (manic depression) makes you feel afraid of yourself because you know you are going to go through these cycles and you cant do anything. you are never "normal" You are always lying in bed for weeks learning how to tie a hangmans knot or you have so much excess energy you dont sleep for 3 day and suspect everyone is spying on you/setting you up for failure.

@[kittysixx:5499] I always saw this as a intent to divorce Courtney. I this it gets associated with suicide because it was released after his death. As far as suicidal intent, I believe you have to take the entire discography into account to paint a picture of his bipolar dissorder. His death was not due to addiction or murder ( I believe). I think it was a culmination of achieving pop status and feeling like who didnt live up to his image. "Im to busy acting like im not naive/ I was here first Ive seen it all"-very ape. I think that after being clean for a small time he saw himself as a monster that was a burden to the world.

"I am my own parasite" I believe this is the same as saying "I'm my own worst enemy". "We can share our endorphin's" refers to the main chemical released by opiates (like heroin). "we feed off each other" the classic relationship between user, each one enables the other. "Lack of Iron and or sleeping" Cobain was anemic(at least he felt that way) and had insomnia. Distilled it all adds that he feels if recovery doesn't work there is always suicide, a brighter future than the life he lived. RIP Kurt, you spoke to me from the grave and saved my life!
