Hey one name ... you should check out the interview again... I believe the song you are referring to is "Sad like winter leaves" - that is the fictional drowning story. |

Well, if he can't breathe when he's around her, it WOULD be quite hard to swim now wouldn't it? So if he's not holding his breath when he's swimming with her, he is most definitely drowning. Make sense? |

You know what's really funny... That there are actually people in this world that are trying to rectify the term "emo." I'll call them the "emo saviors." Sure, they are right, when they got their hands on their first issue of HeartAttack (if they could read yet), Mohinder and Indian Summer were described as emo, emo-core, emotional hardcore, etc... all the time. But things have changed, and if all the emo saviors in the world banded together on a grand quest to preserve their beloved term "emo" in its original form, I don't think they'd even make the slightest dent. Look at it this way, if the Ramones and the Sex Pistols were the first punk bands, then maybe we should leave out the masses of punk bands now that sound nothing like them? Music evolves.. don't you see? Within a term music evolves. Even if it is with as lame of a term as "emo". As for Time Spent Driving, and bands of the like, I'm sure they'd gladly hand over the term to the emo saviors so they can all call it their very own. Ya know?... let the emo saviors have it, they can keep it in a nice little box on a pile of old vinyl "emo" 7-inches next to their bed that someone TOLD them were emo at some point in their lives. One thing I really hope people are doing, is actually LISTENING to the song before they make some comments. haven't heard it yet? Maybe you should: http://www.timespentdriving.com/sounds/index.com thanks. |

I don't know if skycamefalling00's opinion is the most valid, Here's an excerpt from a song he hails as "the best song by the most awesome band" - "A JOHNNY JUMP-UP IS A LOVELY THING A PINT OF CIDER AND SOME WHISKEY I HAD FOUR DEAD INSIDE OF ME JUST TO HEAR THIS JACKASS SING HIS LINE ABOUT HOW HE USED TO HANG OUT SOMEWHERE "BACK IN THE DAY KNOWING TERMS ONLY AN ASSHOLE WOULD SAY SO I SAT THERE DRINKING MORE THINKING ABOUT DRINKING MORE" Yeah, pretty profound. and again he proclaims in a comment about Avril Lavigne's "Losing Grip" - "I would still fuck her brains out." Skycamefalling00 sure has a way with words. Trust his opinion.. he must know. He just must. |
