This song haunts me. Lyrically and musically, it touches an interior chord within me. It speaks to me of death and life, a theme I like to explore anyhow. This is my interpretation: a soul has crossed over and is about to be reincarnated into another life, to take that first breath into another life. It promises itself that it will not forget the lessons learned from the life he is just leaving. The challenge of life is to change one’s karma… |

First, and foremost, thank you for your service, for whatever role you played in service to our country, which we all love so well, and are grateful for so much.
