I really relate to this song. Always being the person who fell in love the hardest so when it doesn't work you feel the most pain. Or you are always the one who gets dumped not the other way round. Nate is a helpless romantic and I feel like this song is him getting kinda pissed off about how he is always the one getting dumped. Anywho, I found the line 'Let my faith fill the air, so she's rolling down the window' really funny because it sounds like he's talking about a fart. lol. Metaphorical fart. |

The song is basically a bunch of different ways to say I love you. The lead singer (Gary), once had a crush on this girl and eventually became infatuated with her. His dad said that trying to go out with her would be like chasing cars. Thats where that line came from. Other than that i think its about expressing your love for someone in other ways than saying I love you. Its such a sweet song that makes me so nostalgic every time I hear it. One of the best to come out of the early 2000s. I miss songs like these. I feel like music these days is a bit shallow and to electronic. Rock bands like Snow Patrol need to make a come back because this sound is so good. |

This song is quite ironic. It's a love song however with the reference of moonshine and molly you can assume it is a dangerous relationship between addicts. The song talks about shining bright like a diamond and how beautiful both of them are, but from an outsiders point of view, it would be quite horrific and possibly abusive with illicit drugs involved. Like when they are tripping they think they are beautiful like diamonds, when really they are literally dragging each other through a parking lot. |

I feel like this song is about being in love with an addict. The lines 'I get high off your memory' suggests that is is probably someone who has overdosed or an estranged friend or relative. The song feels like her forgiving them for doing what they did and what they put themselves through. Loving someone who is an addict is hard because they are hurting themselves but they really can't help it and this song is her forgiving them and loving them instead of leaving them. She is angry about their physical and mental state but still loves them and protects them. This may be about a lover or friend but quite possibly her father. He struggled with addiction and put their family through a lot of hardships because of it. Maybe this is her forgiving him. I really like this song and I really like Nicki's more raw and emotional side and this is a reflection of her underrated artistry. |

I always thought this song was about living in the moment and enjoying everyday. People always talk about 'the good old days' and how things aren't the same anymore and nothing will ever be as good as it used to be. Whereas this song is saying that you need to enjoy everyday and these days are the good old days. It's a great little message and a great little song. |

This song is about addiction. She's asking herself how she could ever be happy without being under the influence of anything. It's common for addicts to question their ability to function without drugs or alcohol and this whole song is just that. When she's talking about being 'that girl', it's her referring to the people at the parties she goes to, the rowdy loud ones that take it too far and she's scared that she'll end up like them. 'And if I left myself go, I'm the only on to blame' This is referring to the loneliness of addicts and trying to recover on their own without support and getting on their own two feet. I rather like this song and Pink's raw and raspy vocals give it an emotional edge. |

| I never really saw this song as a suicide note of the narrator (Gerard). I always read it as an ode of encouragement to a close friend who is going through a hard time or facing some tough issues. Or maybe an end of an old friendship that ended due to addiction or suicide and the narrator is asking for forgiveness or a second chance to mend the relationship. Either way it is a beautiful song and the best rock ballad of the century. | |
