| @[jemma23:1922] Well the Bible never says the people were trying to "reach God" by building the tower. It says they were trying to make a name for themselves (just like people do today - Trump Tower for instance) God wanted people to worship Him - not themselves. However, people always want to worship themselves and live with their own ideas of what is right and wrong instead of by what God says. This is why He destroyed the world with a flood in the first place. People are the same way again today. That is why we are close to getting destroyed the second time (this time will be by fire instead of water). | |
