i agree with all of u in your way of looking at the song, but a another way to interpret this song is maybe a family member or someone that sum41 knows is suffering from adrug problem. "How fast life can be compromised" meaning when u first shoot up or smoke or whatever ur already hooked, "Every body says the same things to u" so many people have told this person to quit, and they have not and there losing there life gradually. "its just a matter of how u solve them" Meaning quit or get high again to live in denial of the real pain. "Why do things that matter the most, never end up being our choice, than i dont know what i had meaning, he should of intervened with this persons problem he could of helped but its already too late.
