Florence + the Machine – Bird Song Lyrics 10 years ago
I have interpreted it almost the same way. The song speaks about guilt, but the bird is someone who blames her, and the song it sings is guilt itself. When she kills the bird in hopes that the song will end, she realizes the song came from her mouth, which means she was the one who was blaming herself the most. Quite a clever song, if you ask me.

Florence + the Machine – Leave My Body Lyrics 10 years ago
I have also interpreted it as a song about suicide. Leaving one's own body is a metaphor for killing oneself. Most of the lyrics are clichés that people say when trying to convince the other person that suicide is not the best option, but she denies them. She doesn't want a future and can't stand her own past; She finds both day and night unnecessary; love doesn't captivate her, neither do the little things such as birds. Moving up to higher ground means going to heaven. The very beggining implies that she is already in the process of killing herself, and the echoes in the end are how death feels according to the author's interpretation.
