I think it is about a soldier going into war, like from the military. It makes me so sad to think about it like that when listening to the music. Military soldiers try their hardest to protect their companions and country, and it is so tragic that most soldiers end up dying. "It started out as a feeling, which then grew into a hope, which then turned into a quiet thought, which then turned into a quiet word.". It is probably telling a story. Starting out where the soldier probably joined the military, went into training, went into battle (battle cry lyric sequence), and then to his death. I don't know. But this is a beautiful song and always makes me shed tears. |
