Dogwood – For What Its Worth Lyrics 15 years ago
Simply beautiful. The somber tone really adds emphasis to every word. I can't get enough of this song. There is such sincerity in this song. I don't feel like I'm listening to someone that's just trying to sell albums.

The Send – In Repose Lyrics 16 years ago
There isn't another album quite like this. I think "home" is in place of Fellowship with God.

I can relate to this song. It's like when your heart falls asleep and you no longer abide in God's Presence. You still go through the motions, but without actually allowing God's heart to reach yours.

You realize it's happening, but you don't really do anything about it. You become complacent with where you are. The line "And you'd paint the sky, to see me believe you," is so amazing. Mainly because God has already painted the sky, yet we fail to see God in his majestic creation.

He also notes in the song "And you'll still remain, and I'll change to see you." It's the statement we either profess with our mouth or our hearts. We know that God never changes his stance, so we are the ones that have to change. So we say "I'll change when I'm ready."

These songs really speak to me. They are sort of my testimony.

Flyleaf – So I Thought Lyrics 17 years ago
Thanks Haydee01. You can't really look at this song superficially. The song is not simply about a boy/girl relationship (Lacey said it herself). The relationship appears to be with addiction. I don't really think she means "young" to be cronological age as much as it is maturity. Her immaturity led her to Love (be addicted to) things that didn't reciprocate anything except hurt. I don't want to make the song into more than it really is, but I just don't see it being simply about a boy she liked. There was too much hurt and affliction that tainted her past to write love songs.

Emery – Fractions Lyrics 17 years ago
I don't know how many of you followed the serier "HEROS" but, this song should have been the theme song for it. The way it parallels the story line is incredible. That's what it always reminds me of. Anyway, it's a beautiful song.

The girl I'm seeing let me listen to this song about 3 weeks ago. Everytime I hear it now I get the most vivid picture of her in my head and I get the same feeling I have when I'm with her.

Zao – 5 Year Winter Lyrics 22 years ago
Well, They profess to be Christian; that's enough for me. This is a really awsome song. I didn't even get a chance to see them live. They came down about 2 months ago and I had to work that night... I should have quit my job and went to the show.

Underoath – When The Sun Sleeps Lyrics 22 years ago
They are the most amazing hardcore band I have ever heard. I still haven't gotten a chance to see them live though. It does make it even more amzing that they ARE a Christian band, when most of the listeners are of a secular world. Most the time Christian bands get labeled as "lame" just because they are God inspired, and never get the chance to voice their music because of the prejudices of the blind secular world.

Enya – Only Time Lyrics 22 years ago
Wow, ryantyme, that was awsome. Almost made me cry. We do take time for granted as well as the people that we have the time with. Anytime could be the last time.

Embodyment – Confessions Lyrics 22 years ago
everyone tries to live up to the media, but the media portrays an image of "perfection" that most everyone believes they fall short of. They live their lives trying to be something that they are not, something that is false to begin with. Really well written and composed.

Embodyment – Yours Truly Lyrics 22 years ago
I interpreted it as basically "you reap what you sow"... "you want it you got it." This person is broken because he chose to live out of the will of God and he is reaping what he has sown. God is saying to him that he will be faithful to him if he is to let everything go.

"You want it you got it" Plays a double meaning in that it is also signifying "ask and ye shall receive." He is getting what he has asked for.

That is just what I get out of it though.

This song moved me when I heard it too. You can see the love of Christ so clearly in the words of this song. It's powerful.

Dogwood – The Battle Of Them Vs. Them Lyrics 22 years ago
I like Dogwood because their songs are very clear in their meaning. They all make a valid statement.

The deception of war is that there is a right side. But in reality, there are no winners, only disarrayed losers.

Tool – Opiate Lyrics 22 years ago
I'm a Christian. Religion is not what gets people to heaven, and also heaven isn't why people follow religion. That is because it doesn't really get them anywhere. Heaven is a promise with salvation. Many "Christians" don't follow Christ, they follow religion. These are usually the decieved Christians who are bent on the Religion and think that everyone who makes mistakes automatically gos to hell and "all teenagers are evil, evil I tells ya." They are really judgmental and obviously don't know why Jesus made himself a sacrifice in the first place. I agree that there is a lot of hypocricy in the church also. There are hypocrites everywhere. I am sorry if you guys have only met these kinds of so-called Christians. I am tired now, so I am going to leave. -later-

Living Sacrifice – Burn the End Lyrics 22 years ago
This reminds me of how I used to be. When I got saved I wasn't willing to give up my "image" because I wasn't secure and was afraid that I would come off looking weak to my peers. I would have liked to conform to Christ, but instead I didn't let God shine through in my social life and compromised Christianity for what I felt, but knew was mere deception, to be more important at the time.

Living Sacrifice – Bloodwork Lyrics 22 years ago
This song is exactly how I want to be. I want to let Christ begin the bloodwork, letting all else be in subjection. These guys are so incredibly annointed.
